    Abstract: An improved turret type yarn winding apparatus provided with means for regulating a running yarn passage when the bobbin change operation is carried out. This yarn passage regulating means is capable of utilizing for the conventional turret type yarn winding apparatus. When the full size yarn package is displaced from the winding position to the stand-by position while a fresh bobbin is displaced to the stand-by position to the winding position, the running yarn is firstly shifted to a position outside the traverse motion of the traverse mechanism, and thus shifted running yarn is forced to pass along a predetermined yarn passage maintained by the above-mentioned yarn passage regulating means so that the running yarn can be assuredly caught by a yarn catching means rotated together with the spindle whereon a fresh bobbin is mounted, at the winding position.

    Abstract: In a yarn winding apparatus, yarn is fed from a spinning frame or the like at high speed, and is wound on bobbins. Shifting of yarn from a full to an empty bobbin is carried out smoothly. A plurality of bobbins is fitted on a revolving arm, and each individual bobbin is positively driven from an independent power source.A plurality of independent drives are installed on the back of the revolving mechanism and bobbins are fitted on its front. Intermediate shafts are installed concentrically with a rotatory shaft which is a part of the revolving mechanism, and pass through the revolving mechanism. Rotary power is transmitted from each independent drive to each individual bobbin by these intermediate shafts.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for producing a compact package of a textile yarn, comprising an accumulation container disposed to a machine frame in a rotatable condition about a longitudinal axis thereof, an inlet of a textile yarn formed at a position above said accumulation container in an eccentric condition to said longitudinal axis of said accumulation container, a compression means provided with a pressing head capable of being inserted into said accumulation container. Said pressing head is capable of reciprocally displacing up and down along said longitudinal axis of said accumulation container in such a condition that the working position of said pressing head is eccentric from said longitudinal axis of said accumulation container.

    Abstract: Yarn is continuously supplied at constant speed to a winding apparatus having a positively driven winding spindle. The tension of the yarn is periodically detected by a force transducer located at an edge of the area covered by the traverse motion of the yarn. The force transducer generates an electrical signal related to tension. The electrical signal is compared with a pre-set desired value and the difference is fed into a controller which acts upon a regulator for varying the speed of rotation of the winding spindle. The regulator varies the speed of rotation of the winding spindle according to the output of the controller, keeping the yarn tension at the desired value throughout the winding operation.
