  • Patent number: 4947246
Abstract: In a frame sequentially scanning type color endoscope apparatus, a light chopper is employed in conjunction with a xenon lamp. The light chopper is constructed of a disk, three slots formed in a peripheral portion of the disk, and three different color filters mounted on the corresponding slots. Positions of two slots are juxtaposed with each other with respect to another position of the remaining slot. Three different color light pulses are produced from three color filters with having the substantially same duration times and different time intervals.

  • Patent number: 4823370
Abstract: An X-ray generator projects X-rays into an object under examination. An X-ray detector detects the X-ray image data transmitted through the object. The transmitted X-ray image data is digitized by an A/D converter and visually displayed by a monitor. For effecting such display, an X-ray shield member having an X-ray shield section configured in a predetermined pattern is set in an X-ray projection area. The transmitted X-ray image data containing the X-ray shield section data obtained under this condition is supplied to a scattered X-ray intensity computing circuit through first and second switching circuits and a memory. The computing circuit computes the scattered X-ray component. Then, the X-ray shield member is retracted from the X-ray projection area. Under this condition, the transmitted X-ray image data is supplied through the first and second switching circuits to a subtracting circuit.

  • Patent number: 4741009
Abstract: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus analyzes scattered X-ray distribution from total X-ray transmission data by employing an X-ray shield member. One of plural X-ray shield members is selected based on the X-ray magnifying factor of a region of interest (ROI) in a patient. The scattered X-ray distribution I.sub.sc (x,y) over the entire X-ray projection area is calculated by utilizing a method of linear interpolation and the actually measured scattered X-ray components.

  • Patent number: 4656650
Abstract: In an X-ray diagnostic apparatus, it is very desirable to mitigate the adverse effect of the scattered X-ray components. When the X-ray shield member is positioned in the X-ray projection area during the first X-ray projection period, the first X-ray transmission image data is obtained. From this X-ray transmission image data, the scattered X-ray component data is calculated in the interpolation method of a SINC function. When the X-ray shield member is removed from the X-ray projection area during the second X-ray projection period, the second X-ray transmission image data is obtained that includes not only the primary X-ray components but also the scattered X-ray components. The desirable X-ray transmission image data is obtained by subtracting the first image data from the second image data.

  • Patent number: 4653080
Abstract: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus comprises, an X-ray radiation source for generating an X-ray and projecting the same toward an object, an X-ray detector for detecting the X-ray which has transmitted through the object to derive a total X-ray intensity signal of the object including a primary X-ray signal component and a scattered X-ray signal component, a signal processor which processes the X-ray intensity signal detected from the X-ray detector in such a manner that a scattered X-ray intensity distribution which is pre-calculated based upon the X-ray intensity signal is eliminated from an X-ray intensity distribution obtained from the X-ray intensity signal so as to derive a distribution function of the primary X-ray signal component without adverse influences on the scattered X-ray signal component, and a monitor for displaying a distribution from based upon the distribution function of the primary X-ray signal component.

  • Patent number: 4618928
Abstract: An X-ray image data of a patient into which an X-ray contrast medium is being administered is processed in an X-ray image data processing apparatus so as to obtain the X-ray image data having an improved S/N ratio. The processing apparatus mainly comprises a linear differential filter that is composed of a plurality of multipliers and an adder. The X-ray image data is multiplied by a plurality of differential coefficients, and thereafter the results of these multiplications are summed.
