  • Patent number: 4656993
Abstract: A crank angle detecting system for a multicylinder engine includes a disc formed with a large number of slits to detect one-degree crank angular positions and a small number of slits to detect a predetermined piston stroke for each cylinder. Since the widths of a small number of slits are different from each other, it is possible to separately discriminate each cylinder in crank angular position on the basis of the crank angle signals obtained by a large number of slits. In the case where the detecting system is incorporated with a group-ignition system, it is possible to detect a predetermined piston stroke for each cylinder immediately after the engine is started, thus preventing the engine from erroneous ignition.

  • Patent number: 4073775
Abstract: A thermosetting powder coating composition having good handling characteristics and capable of being baked under relatively mild conditions and providing a coating having practically satisfactory properties. This coating composition is prepared by incorporating in 100 parts by weight of an epoxy group-containing acrylic or methacrylic copolymer having a glass transition point of 30.degree. to 90.degree. C. and a weight average molecular weight of 2,500 to 30,000, said copolymer consisting of 3 to 35% by weight of acrylate or methacrylate monomer units and 97 to 65% by weight of ethylenically unsaturated monomer units, 3 to 40 parts by weight of a specific diphenol having at its both terminals hydroxybenzoic acid ester structures as represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.

  • Patent number: 3956228
Abstract: A polyester obtained from dibasic acids mixture containing 10 to 50 mole-% of endomethylene-tetrahydrophthalic acid and glycols is used in a resin composition for powder coatings. This composition has a good storage stability and when heated in the air at 150.degree. to 220.degree.C exhibits favorable fluidity to form an even coating which quickly hardens to a film with excellent characteristics.
