    Abstract: A playback apparatus not only plays back an AV stream recorded on a BD-ROM but also downloads an update kit from a WWW server (500) and writes it on a local HD (12). The AV stream stored in the local HD (12) includes an audio stream for an additional language. A control unit (16) reads the AV stream recorded on the BD-ROM and the AV stream recorded in the local. HD (12) in units of access units. An audio decoder (6) obtains a necessary audio frame from the access units read from the BD-ROM and the local HD (12) and plays it back. A video decoder (4) obtains video data from the access unit read from the BD-ROM and plays it back.

    Abstract: The clutch device includes, a right pressure flange that brings clutch discs provided on a clutch outer and clutch plates provided on a clutch inner into pressure contact with one another. A pressure ring that moves the right pressure flange with an external force and a clutch spring transmits the force toward a clutch connected position, from the pressure ring to the right pressure flange. Further, a return spring between the clutch inner and the right pressure flange urges the right pressure flange toward a clutch disconnected position. The mark of the type indicating a section specifies the domain based on the time stamp of the playback start point of the preset playback domain of the AV stream and on the duration as from the playback start point until the playback end point.

By using the target half-clutch hydraulic pressure Ph, a clutch control amount in the predetermined half-clutch state is determined.

    Abstract: A control method for a hydraulic type continuously variable transmission for suppressing a harmful effect due to the reacceleration just after deceleration of a vehicle. In a hydraulic type continuously variable transmission, the operation of a shifting actuator is stopped to suspend the shift control (S7) when a throttle valve is rapidly opened just after fully closed (S4: Yes) and an engine speed NE [rpm] is being rapidly increased (S6: Yes). Accordingly, even when the actual engine speed NE becomes much greater than a target engine speed T_NE during reacceleration just after deceleration of a vehicle, unexpected shift control (upshifting) can be prevented, so that more desirable torque can be produced.
