  • Patent number: 7541722
Abstract: An electronic component has a structure which prevents corrosion caused by moisture intrusion through an electrode pattern extending inwardly from an edge connecting a side and one of main surfaces of a substrate and, therefore, deterioration of a characteristic rarely occurs over time. The electronic component includes, on the first main surface of the substrate, the first electrode pattern extending inwardly from an edge connecting the side of the substrate and the first main surface of the substrate, the second electrode pattern that is opposite to the end of the first electrode pattern through the gap, and the third electrode pattern that is disposed on the first electrode pattern and the second electrode pattern such that it covers the gap. The third electrode pattern is formed from a metal film that is highly resistant to corrosion, the corrosion resistance of which is superior to that of metal films forming the first electrode pattern and the second electrode pattern.

  • Patent number: 7431420
Abstract: During the creation of print job data on a job creation terminal, a flushing pattern placement reservation region is previously arbitrary specified and described in placement condition data. Flushing pattern data is previously stored in a storage part. A flushing judgment part specifies frequency with which ink is ejected from each nozzle of a printing apparatus from rasterized data, to judge whether a flushing operation is needed or not. When the flushing operation is needed, a printing execution instruction part acquires the flushing pattern data for causing the ink ejected from a target nozzle to form a certain flushing pattern, to combine the flushing pattern data with the rasterized data, and the printing apparatus executes printing based on the resultant data obtained by the combination. This achieves the production of a printed material while ensuring the flushing operation.

  • Patent number: 7146695
Abstract: A surface acoustic wave device has superior electrical power resistance that is obtained by improving stress migration resistance of electrodes. In order to form at least one electrode, for example, on a ? rotation Y-cut (?=36° to 42°) LiTaO3 piezoelectric substrate, an underlying electrode layer including Ti or Cr as a primary component is formed, and an Al electrode layer including Al as a primary component is then formed on this underlying electrode layer. The Al electrode layer is an oriented film grown by epitaxial growth and is also a polycrystalline thin film having a twin structure in which a diffraction pattern observed in an X-ray diffraction pole figure has a plurality of symmetry centers.

  • Publication number: 20060114398
Abstract: An orientation controller which divides a pixel into a plurality of different priority alignment regions and an additional orientation controller are provided in a pixel. The additional orientation controller is provided at least at an end of a pixel of a long-side alignment region formed along the long side of the pixel among the divided alignment regions, for example, around a center position of the long side of the pixel. The additional orientation controller can be realized, for example, by forming a cutout pattern in a side of a first electrode (pixel electrode) forming a part of the pixel. Because the alignment direction is also controlled by the additional orientation controller, the alignment of liquid crystal in this region is stabilized.

  • Publication number: 20060109492
Abstract: Provided is a print system for generating print data and print job data such that they may be restored from a printed matter. PDL-converted layout data that can be obtained by performing PDL conversion of predetermined layout data is symbolized in a predetermined encoding technique, and image data of the obtained symbol is PDL-converted. The resulting data is combined with the PDL-converted layout data and then supplied to a printer as print data. Printing of this print data results in a printed matter PM, in which a symbol SB is added to a substantive image, i.e., the image of contents desired to represent at the time of layout. By a predetermined restore processor with decode means corresponding to the encoding technique, the symbol SB is read and decoded, thereby faithfully restoring the PDL-converted layout data. Once a document is kept as a printed matter, the reuse of layout data is easy to carry out, without retaining electronic data.
