Publication number: 20060081406Abstract: An output shaft is divided into a first output shaft and a second output shaft. Torque from a motive power distributing planetary gear is transferred to the first output shaft. The first output shaft is supported on partition walls by a both-end support structure via bearings. Assist torque from a transmission is applied to the second output shaft. The second output shaft is also supported on partition walls by a both-end support structure via bearings.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2005Publication date: April 20, 2006Applicants: AISIN AW CO., LTD., TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Seigo Kano, Satoru Wakuta, Kazuhisa Ozaki, Toshiharu Ikeda, Atsushi Ishibashi, Masahiro Kojima, Masatoshi Adachi

Publication number: 20050167234Abstract: In a hydraulic servo for a clutch, a cancel plate is disposed on a second clutch drum that undergoes the same rotation as a second clutch drum provided with a cylinder portion, in such a fashion that the cancel plate is restricted from moving to a side opposite from a return spring in an axial direction. The first clutch drum is disposed, as a separate member, on the second clutch drum. A step portion of the second clutch drum prevents the first clutch drum from moving to a side opposite from the cancel plate. Due to the spring force of the return spring, the oil pressure in the cancel oil chamber and the oil pressure in the operating oil chamber, the force that presses the first clutch drum to the step portion is always greater than the force that presses the first clutch drum to the cancel plate side.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2004Publication date: August 4, 2005Applicant: AISIN AW CO., LTDInventors: Toshihiko Aoki, Takuya Fujimine, Minoru Todo, Kazuhisa Ozaki

Publication number: 20050115750Abstract: A hybrid drive unit includes a hybrid mechanism having at least one electric motor and a transfer that distributes driving force to front and rear wheels. The electric motor and the transfer are housed in a tubular shaped transmission case that extends in the front and rear directions of a vehicle. The hybrid drive unit is mounted on and supported by a second attachment coupled to an internal combustion engine and provided at a front end of the hybrid drive unit and a first attachment portion fixed to a vehicle body. The electric motor and the transfer that are heavy structural members of the hybrid drive unit are positioned separately to the front and rear of the first attachment portion that forms a boundary. By adopting this configuration, it is possible to reduce the amount of engine vibration that is transmitted to the vehicle body through the first attachment portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2004Publication date: June 2, 2005Inventors: Shigeki Takami, Kiyotomo Miura, Satoru Wakuta, Kazuhisa Ozaki

Publication number: 20040084233Abstract: An output of an internal combustion engine is transmitted to an output shaft by controlling a control motor to change a speed without speed steps, in a power distribution planetary gear. An output of a drive motor is input to the output shaft by changing the speed into two-step decelerated rotation by means of an automatic transmission. The transmission produces a desired torque by decelerating the speed by a large degree when a vehicle speed is low, and produces a desired number of revolutions by decelerating the speed by a small degree when the vehicle speed is high.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2003Publication date: May 6, 2004Applicants: AISIN AW CO., LTD., TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Satoru Wakuta, Kenji Omote, Takeshi Inuzuka, Kazuhisa Ozaki, Kazumasa Tsukamoto, Kozo Yamaguchi, Masatoshi Adachi, Kazutoshi Motoike, Masahiro Kojima

Patent number: 6517463Abstract: A compact automatic transmission for a vehicle capable of preventing increase in relative rotational speed between shift elements. A planetary gear unit is provided with a sun gear to which rotation of an input shaft is input, a carrier that can be stopped from rotating, and a ring gear for outputting, to a planetary gear set, rotation that is reduced in speed relative to that of the input shaft. A clutch is connected/disconnected, the input shaft and the sun gear are appropriately connected/disconnected, and the carrier is appropriately stopped/unstopped by a brake and a one-way clutch. This prevents relative rotational speed between shift elements of the gear unit that does not participate in a shifting operation from excessively increasing. When the clutch is disposed between the input shaft and the sun gear, the torque capacity of the clutch can be reduced as compared with the case where it is disposed between the gear unit and the gear set.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2001Date of Patent: February 11, 2003Assignees: Aisin Aw Co., Ltd., Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Nobutada Sugiura, Takuya Ishii, Minoru Todo, Kazuhisa Ozaki, Youichi Hayakawa, Hiroshi Ito, Toshiki Kanada, Yasuo Hojo, Yuji Kashihara

Patent number: 5954177Abstract: An oil seal member is compressed between a connecting pipe for supplying oil to an oil chamber of a hydraulic servo and the cylinder drum of the hydraulic servo. The cylinder drum has an interior oil chamber and turns through a predetermined angle upon operation of a frictional engagement element by the hydraulic servo. The end of the seal member pressed against the cylindrical drum surrounds an oil hole 73 formed in the cylindrical drum, and oil pressure is supplied to the oil chamber through an oil passage in which the seal member is mounted and through the oil hole. A recess is formed in the outer surface of the cylindrical drum around the oil hole and the end of the seal member is received in the recess. When the cylindrical member turns within the predetermined angular range, the end of the seal member is protected by the recess. As a result, the end of the seal member is not damaged and the integrity of the seal is protected.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 1997Date of Patent: September 21, 1999Assignees: Aisin AW Co., Ltd., Nok CorporationInventors: Fumitomo Yokoyama, Kazuhisa Ozaki, Masanori Kadotani, Mikio Iwase, Harumichi Tsuboi, Makoto Hijikata, Yasuo Hojo, Atsushi Tabata, Yasunori Nakawaki, Yasunari Nakamura, Nobuaki Takahashi, Hideki Miyata, Kagenori Fukumura, Koji Tsukamoto
