    Abstract: In a hydraulic servo for a clutch, a cancel plate is disposed on a second clutch drum that undergoes the same rotation as a second clutch drum provided with a cylinder portion, in such a fashion that the cancel plate is restricted from moving to a side opposite from a return spring in an axial direction. The first clutch drum is disposed, as a separate member, on the second clutch drum. A step portion of the second clutch drum prevents the first clutch drum from moving to a side opposite from the cancel plate. Due to the spring force of the return spring, the oil pressure in the cancel oil chamber and the oil pressure in the operating oil chamber, the force that presses the first clutch drum to the step portion is always greater than the force that presses the first clutch drum to the cancel plate side.

    Abstract: A hybrid drive unit includes a hybrid mechanism having at least one electric motor and a transfer that distributes driving force to front and rear wheels. The electric motor and the transfer are housed in a tubular shaped transmission case that extends in the front and rear directions of a vehicle. The hybrid drive unit is mounted on and supported by a second attachment coupled to an internal combustion engine and provided at a front end of the hybrid drive unit and a first attachment portion fixed to a vehicle body. The electric motor and the transfer that are heavy structural members of the hybrid drive unit are positioned separately to the front and rear of the first attachment portion that forms a boundary. By adopting this configuration, it is possible to reduce the amount of engine vibration that is transmitted to the vehicle body through the first attachment portion.

A clutch is connected/disconnected, the input shaft and the sun gear are appropriately connected/disconnected, and the carrier is appropriately stopped/unstopped by a brake and a one-way clutch. This prevents relative rotational speed between shift elements of the gear unit that does not participate in a shifting operation from excessively increasing. When the clutch is disposed between the input shaft and the sun gear, the torque capacity of the clutch can be reduced as compared with the case where it is disposed between the gear unit and the gear set.

After a residual torque existing between the parking gear and drive wheels has been released, the claw and the tooth space are engaged with each other.

    Abstract: An oil seal member is compressed between a connecting pipe for supplying oil to an oil chamber of a hydraulic servo and the cylinder drum of the hydraulic servo. The cylinder drum has an interior oil chamber and turns through a predetermined angle upon operation of a frictional engagement element by the hydraulic servo. The end of the seal member pressed against the cylindrical drum surrounds an oil hole 73 formed in the cylindrical drum, and oil pressure is supplied to the oil chamber through an oil passage in which the seal member is mounted and through the oil hole. A recess is formed in the outer surface of the cylindrical drum around the oil hole and the end of the seal member is received in the recess. When the cylindrical member turns within the predetermined angular range, the end of the seal member is protected by the recess. As a result, the end of the seal member is not damaged and the integrity of the seal is protected.
