    Abstract: In a process comprising adding an ethylenic monomer or monomer mixture (B) to a rubbery polymer (A) latex, emulsion-polymerizing it to produce a graft copolymer (C) latex, then adding an acidic substance or an electrolyte to said graft copolymer (C) latex to partially coagulate the latex, thereafter either first adding an ethylenic monomer or monomer mixture (D) and then adding a suspension polymerization stabilizer or simultaneously adding an ethylenic monomer or monomer mixture (D) and a suspension polymerization stabilizer, and carrying out suspension polymerization to obtain a graft copolymer (E) in the form of beads, a process for producing an impact-resistant resin wherein:(1) said rubbery polymer (A) contains at least 60% by weight of a diene monomer component and has a degree of swelling of 10-35, a gel content of 70% by weight or more and a weight average particle diameter of 0.2-0.5.mu. and the major part of the particles has a particle diameter ranging from 0.03.mu. to 1.0.mu.

    Abstract: Flame retardant reinforced with polyester resin compositions are disclosed glass fiber and a system of flame retardants represented by the following general formulas (I) and (II), together with antimony trioxide. The flame retardant system is a blend of 1-20 parts by weight of component (I), and 2-30 parts by weight of component (II), provided the weight ratio (I)/(II) of the flame retardant component (I) to (II) is in the range of 0.2<(I)/(II)<4, and that the total amount of flame retardants (I) plus (II) is in the range of 3-40 parts by weight. From 2 to 30 parts by weight of antimony trioxide is present and 5 to 60% by weight of glass fiber is also present, these two percentages being expressed on the basis of the weight of the total resin composition. The resin compositions exhibit outstanding mechanical, thermal properties and moldability in addition to being fire retardant.

    Abstract: Reinforced resin compositions exhibiting excellent heat resistance and appearance, and containing by weight: (a) at least 30% of a polyethylene terephthalate-type resin, (b) 5 to 60% glass fiber, (c) 0.03 to 5% of one or more salts of organic carboxylic acids with metals of the Groups Ia and IIa of the Periodic Table, and (d) 0.1 to 20% of a sorbitan derivative are disclosed. Optionally liquid or solid paraffin or polyethylene wax is incorporated in an amount of 0.3 to 5% based on the total composition may be incorporated if a white article is desired.Molded articles prepared from these compositions, high in heat resistance and uniform appearance, even if the thickness of the molded article is small or uneven or the molding operation is carried out at a relatively low mold temperature, are also disclosed. Molding temperature dependence and thickness dependence on the heat distortion temperature of the molded article are remarkably improved as well.

C. at normal pressure and a viscosity of not higher than 20 cps/20.degree. C.
