  • Patent number: 5195111
Abstract: A programmable frequency dividing network comprises a plurality of cascade-connected programmable frequency dividing stages each of which divides the frequency of a clock pulse by two and three based on a logic level of a preset input signal used to change a variable division ratio from one to another. In addition, there is provided a gating means for determining or detecting whether or not each of the outputs of programmable frequency dividing stages of the programmable frequency dividing network after a programmable frequency dividing stage as a second stage is brought to a predetermined pattern and an instruction signal for making a decision as to the division of the division ratio by (+1) is inputted, so as to generate the output of a logic level for causing a programmable frequency dividing stage equivalent to a first stage to divide the frequency of the clock pulse by three if it is determined to be positive in the above detection process.

  • Patent number: 5187458
Abstract: A composite longitudinal vibration mechanical filter for delivering out a supplied high-frequency signal in a predetermined frequency range includes a plurality of vibratable bodies including input and output longitudinal vibratable tuning bars with piezoelectric members superposed thereon, coupling elements by which the longitudinally vibratable tuning bars are coupled to each other, supporting elements projecting respectively from the input and output longitudinally vibratable tuning bars, and a holder to which the supporting elements are attached. Grooves are defined in the longitudinally vibratable tuning bars at the same time that they are fabricated. The grooves extend in the direction in which the longitudinally vibratable tuning bars are longitudinally vibratable, and are shorter than the length of the longitudinally vibratable tuning bars.

  • Patent number: 5077764
Abstract: A frequency dividing circuit divides an input signal of an input frequency into an output signal of an output frequency. The frequency dividing circuit comprises first through fourth latch circuits which operate the input signal, respectively. The first latch circuit delays an original signal into a first delay signal. The second latch circuit delays the first delay signal to produce a second delay signal and a first inverted delay signal which has an antiphase relative to the second delay signal. The third latch circuit delays the second delay signal into a third delay signal as the output signal. The fourth latch circuit receives a first OR signal which is produced by logically adding the third delay signal and mode signal which has first and second levels. The fourth latch signal delays the first OR signal into a fourth delay signal and produces a second inverted delay signal which has an antiphase relative to the fourth delay signal.

  • Patent number: 5045813
Abstract: A slip phase control phase-locked loop includes a voltage-controlled oscillator for generating a frequency signal, and a binary programmable frequency divider for producing a frequency-divided signal in response to the frequency signal supplied thereto, the binary programmable frequency divider including a 2-scale-factor prescaler, a swallow counter, and a main counter. The phase of the frequency-divided signal is compared with the phase of a reference frequency signal. A phase-compared signal is integrated and the integrated signal is applied to the voltage-controlled oscillator. A D/A converter swallow counter and a D/A converter counter are operable with the binary programmable frequency divider for D/A-converting a signal derived from the frequency signal into a pulse-width-modulated signal corresponding to the phase-compared signal at a present count ranging from 0 to 2.sup.M -1, where M is a positive integer.

  • Patent number: 4953628
Abstract: A latent heat storage apparatus for obtaining sure latent heat from a latent heat storage material includes a plurality of small chambers for encasing at least the latent heat storage material. A capillary member is provided between the plurality of small chambers so that the contents of the plurality of chambers are coupled to each other. With this arrangement, the crystallization of the latent heat storage material in at least one small chamber is spread out into the other small chambers. In the case that the present invention is applied for a supercooling-prevention type heat storage apparatus, a supercooling-prevention material is encased in one of the small chambers. On the other hand, in the case that the present invention is applied for a supercooling type heat storage apparatus, one end portion of the capillary member is put out so that the latent heat storage material in the small chambers is crystallized by stimulation of the end portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 4535837
Abstract: Upon heat being liberated, a latent heat storage material is kept in indirect contact with a heat transfer medium through a heat liberation or output accelerating material. Thus, the heat of fusion of the storage material is taken out with high efficiency. Since a heat input accelerating material is taken into a solid phase of the storage material, the heat input velocity at which heat is transferred to the storage material is greatly increased when heat is transferred or stored thereinto. Thus, a practical latent heat storage device having excellent heat input and output characteristic has been materialized.

  • Patent number: 4506868
Abstract: Herein disclosed is a shock absorber which is to be used with a vehicular coupler. The shock absorber includes a shock absorbing frame which has a pair of shoulders. Further inclusive are a pair of follower plates which are adapted to be held to abut against the shoulders of the shock absorbing frame. A main elastic member is clamped under compression between the paired follower plates. A pair of auxiliary elastic members are also clamped under compression, respectively, between the shock absorbing frame and those faces of the follower plates, which are opposite to the faces contacting with the main elastic member. The initial pressure applied to the main elastic member is balanced by the initial pressures to the auxiliary elastic members. Thus, the paired follower plates can take their neutral positions without being forced onto the shoulders of the shock absorbing frame.
