  • Publication number: 20060038844
Abstract: An MFP provided as an image forming device reads the paper management information including the information of a department which is authorized to use paper, which is stored on an IC tag provided on the paper, and the paper management information thus obtained is stored in the storage unit. Also, upon receiving the transmission request for the paper management information via the network, the MFP transmits the paper management information stored in the storage unit back to the request source.

  • Publication number: 20050141003
Abstract: In IC-tagged printed matter 200, image data is printed on IC-tagged paper and the image data of the printed image is stored in the IC tag. MFP 100C makes a judgment whether the document set by ADF 141 is an IC-tagged printed mater or not by means of IC tag reader 143A, reads out the image data from the IC tag of the document on the ADF by means of IC tag reader 143A without transporting the document, and prints it on conventional paper or IC-tagged printing paper by means of printing unit 151, when it is the IC-tagged printed matter. If it is to be printed on IC-tagged printing paper, it writes the printed image data on the IC tag of said IC-tagged printing paper by means of IC tag writer 152 simultaneously. Thus, high quality copies in which the attribute information of the printed matter is reflected can be obtained from the electronically tagged printed mater.

  • Publication number: 20040008373
Abstract: Upon receiving e-mail, which is deprived of its attachment file due to capacity limitation of mail server 21a, MFP 11a transmits e-mail containing its own IP address and a transfer request for transferring the attachment file to the transmission source, MFP 14a, and other transmission destinations, MFP 12a and 13a. Of those MFP which received said e-mail, MFP 12a is accessible to MFP 11a via network 30 and transmits the attachment file to MFP 11a and MFP 11a prints out the attachment file upon receiving it.

  • Patent number: 6621524
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus and a method for processing images are provided whereby it is possible to register a plurality of mask patterns, to select a desired one among the plurality of registered mask patterns, and to cut-out a desired part of a taken image by using the selected mask pattern to synthesize a new image, which is stored. In addition, it is also possible to extract a part of an image or the whole of an image of a stored taken image to be registered as a mask pattern.

  • Patent number: 6483540
Abstract: A digital camera comprises a pick-up image data memory for storing pick-up image data by a couple charged device (CCD), a title message table for storing a plurality of title message data to be superimposed over the pick-up image data and a plate table for storing a plurality of plate image data to be overwritten the title message data and a central processing unit (CPU). The CPU overwrites the title message data stored in the title message table on the plate image data stored in the plate table and superimposed the title message data with the plate image data over the pick-up image data stored in the pick-up data memory. Further, the CPU stored the superimposed pick-up image data in the pick-up image memory so that the superimposed image data can be reproduced following the original pick-up image data.

  • Patent number: 6330028
Abstract: An image pickup device includes a flash memory wherein picked-up image data is recorded. The flash memory includes a data block that stores the image data, and managing blocks which store managing data such as directory entries and a FAR chain. Image data is entered into the data block of the flash memory while the managing data is being written. When the power supply is accidentally turned off during the data entering operation and an abnormality occurs in the managing data, correct image data cannot be read out. The image pick-up device provides measures for eliminating such troubles. To this end, the flash memory includes a data block that stores a plurality of image data files, a pair of managing blocks that manage the data block, and a pair of checksum storage areas that have stored check data used to check respective data stored in the pair of managing blocks.

  • Patent number: 5553172
Abstract: An electronic image pickup apparatus picks up an object image such as an image on a blackboard and outputs the image. The apparatus can synthesize a picked-up image with format data input from another unit and output the synthesized image. When synthesis processing is to be performed, format data to be synthesized are created and stored in several line buffers in advance. When a picked-up one-line image signal is written in a line buffer of 1 line, the format data stored in the several line buffers are read out, and the image signal and the format data are synthesized in the line buffer of 1 line. By outputting the data in this line buffer in units of lines, the synthesized data obtained by synthesizing the picked-up image with the format data is output.

  • Patent number: 4789816
Abstract: A stepping motor drive control apparatus for controlling the drive of a stepping motor having a plurality of phase coils which are respectively excited to switch the phase. A cycle of a step signal which steps the stepping motor is measured. According to the measured cycle of the step signal, a switching time of the phase coil to be excited is variably set, so that damping and noise are prevented when the stepping motor is driven.
