Abstract: A controller in a refrigeration cycle apparatus performs a refrigerant recovery operation when switching an operation mode from a defrosting mode to a heating mode. During the refrigerant recovery operation, by rotating a fan of a blower while monitoring a pressure at a discharge side of the compressor, the controller is configured to perform feedback control to cause a high-pressure side pressure to be close to a high-pressure side target pressure value. During the refrigerant recovery operation, by controlling a driving frequency of the compressor while monitoring a pressure at a suction side of the compressor, the controller is configured to perform feedback control to cause a low-pressure side pressure to be close to a low-pressure side target pressure value.

Abstract: An aromatic polysulfone composition is provided which includes an aromatic polysulfone and an organic compound having a boiling point no lower than 100° C. and no higher than 400° C. The organic compound is contained in an amount of at least 0.1 ppm and at most 10 mass % relative to the mass of the aromatic polysulfone. The aromatic polysulfone has repeating units expressed by formula (1): -Ph1-SO2-Ph2-O—??(1) In formula (1), Ph1 and Ph2 represent phenylene groups in which one or more hydrogen atoms that bind to the phenylene groups may, independently of each other, be substituted with an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, or a halogen atom.

Abstract: In a refrigeration cycle apparatus, a controller is configured to, when a defrost mode is started, control a first pressure reducing device is controlled to adjust a flow rate of refrigerant to bring a degree of superheat of the refrigerant at a suction side of a compressor close to a target value, control a flow path switching device to form a first flow path through which the refrigerant released from the compressor flows to a first heat exchanger; perform a refrigerant release operation of opening one of a second pressure reducing device and a valve and closing the other of the second pressure reducing device and the valve, and perform a refrigerant collection operation of opening the second pressure reducing device and the valve, with the flow path switching device retained to form the first flow path, after the refrigerant release operation.

Abstract: An operation adjustment method of an SOI device comprises steps of: (a) obtaining a drain current-substrate bias voltage characteristic of an NMOS transistor for a source-gate voltage of 0V; (b) obtaining a lowest substrate bias voltage which turns on the NMOS transistor from the drain current-substrate bias voltage characteristic; (c) determining an upper limit of a substrate bias voltage of a PMOS transistor as a voltage obtained by subtracting a built-in potential of a pn junction from the lowest substrate bias voltage; and (d) determining the substrate bias voltage of the PMOS transistor as a positive voltage lower than the upper limit. Reduction in the power consumption and maintenance of the radiation tolerance are both achieved for the SOI device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a polycrystalline silicon rod whose rod surface portion has a phosphorus concentration of 0.015 ppba or less, in which the ratio (P2/P1) of the phosphorus concentration (P2) of the rod center portion to the phosphorus concentration (P1) of the rod surface portion is within the range of 2 or lower. The present invention also provides a method for producing a polycrystalline silicon rod by the Siemens method that assembles a polycrystalline silicon seed rod in a reactor, then heats the seed rod up to a temperature of 1000° C. or more and less than the melting point of silicon by energization heating, and supplies a raw material gas including trichlorosilane gas and hydrogen gas as the main components to the reactor at the heating temperature to deposit and grow silicon on the seed rod surface.
