  • Publication number: 20180264832
Abstract: A quick connect assembly includes a connector housing and fluid connectors that fluidly couple an ink assembly and a print assembly. The quick connect assembly also includes conductive connectors that conductively couple hardware circuitry in the ink assembly with hardware circuitry in the print assembly. First and second portions of the connector housing mate with each other to couple the fluid connectors and to couple the conductive connectors. The first and second housing portions mate with each other by rotating the first housing portion and/or the second housing portion relative to the other of the first housing portion and/or the second housing portion.

  • Publication number: 20180251044
Abstract: A seating assembly for a vehicle includes a seat having an extendable leg support. A seatback is operably coupled with the seat. The seating assembly includes an occupant detection system. A rear seat lift device is disposed in the seat and operable between a lowered position and a heightened position. A rear portion of the seat is elevated relative to the seatback to minimize a height difference between the rear portion of the seat and a bottom portion of the seatback when the seatback is in a fully reclined position. A control module is in communication with the occupant detection system, the seat, and the seatback. The control module is configured to activate an actuation assembly of the seatback to rotate the seatback rearward, extend the extendable leg support forward, and raise the rear seat lift device to provide optimal rest conditions for the occupant.

  • Publication number: 20180067499
Abstract: Example implementations may relate to selection between a first mode and a second mode. The first mode may involve (i) directing an aerial vehicle (e.g., in an aerial network including a plurality of aerial vehicles) to navigate to each of a plurality of altitudes and (ii) determining respective wind-related data at each respective altitude. Whereas, the second mode may involve (i) selecting at least one altitude based on the determined wind-related data and (ii) directing the aerial vehicle to reposition to the at least one selected altitude. As such, a control system may determine flight data for the aerial vehicle. Based on the flight data, the control system may make a selection between the first mode and the second mode. And based on the selection, the control system may then operate the aerial vehicle according to the first mode or may operate the aerial vehicle according to the second mode.

  • Publication number: 20180003575
Abstract: A strain gauge nozzle adapter that may be placed between a barrel end cap and a nozzle body of an injection molding system, the strain gauge nozzle adapter having a strain gauge pin that measures strain within the strain gauge nozzle adapter for use in approximating conditions within an injection molding system, such as pressure or the location of a melt flow front. The strain gauge nozzle adapter may include a plurality of strain gauge pins. An alternative material insert in the strain gauge nozzle adapter may surround a strain gauge pin to amplify meaningful measurements obtained by the strain gauge pin so that noise measurements do not compromise the accuracy of approximation of conditions within a mold.

  • Patent number: 9747568
Abstract: Example methods and systems for determining when to decommission vehicles from a fleet of autonomous vehicles are described. One method includes receiving information indicating a sequence of coverage requirements for a region over a period of time, and the region is characterized by landmarks and the period of time is divided into time intervals. Landmarks may be defined as a decommissioning site representative of a location at which a given vehicle can be taken out of service, and the method includes determining estimated landmarks that can be reached by one or more vehicles starting from a respective landmark by an end of a respective time interval, and based on the sequence of coverage requirements, determining which vehicles from among the vehicles that can reach the one or more landmarks defined as the decommissioning site to take out of service.
