  • Patent number: 11800195
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for displaying recommendations that are temporally relevant to activities of a user and are contextually relevant to a portion of viewed media. This may be accomplished by a media guidance application identifying activities a user has planned, as well as respective times for which each of the plurality of activities was planned to be performed by the user. The media guidance application may filter the activities by determining which of the first plurality of activities has a corresponding respective time that is within a threshold period of time. The media guidance application may then identify characteristics of each filtered activity and of a media asset that the user is consuming at the present moment, and may compute whether the characteristics match. If the characteristics match, the media guidance application may generate for display a recommendation relating to the respective activity.

  • Patent number: 11726073
Abstract: A method includes attaching a gas capture device to a bypass system adjacent to a gas meter. The method also includes rotating an internal cartridge near the gas meter to a bypass mode. The rotation of the internal cartridge enables gas to be diverted through a bypass system and away from the gas meter into an outlet. Remaining gas is captured from the gas meter to prevent the gas from releasing externally. The gas meter is removed from its original position. The internal cartridge is rotated from the bypass mode to a purge mode.

  • Publication number: 20230213127
Abstract: A releasable clamp which can be installed without using a wrench to tighten it on the fittings is disclosed. The lock nut and T bar embodiments enable the clamp to place a pre-set amount of clamping pressure on a pair of pipe fittings so as to minimize the gasket compression into the pipe's flow path.

  • Publication number: 20230050347
Abstract: The invention provides an IG unit that includes two glass sheets and an aerogel sheet located between the two glass sheets. The aerogel sheet is adhered to an interior surface of one of the two glass sheets by an adhesive, such that a face of the aerogel sheet is carried alongside the interior surface and has a portion that is devoid of the adhesive. In some cases, the adhesive is outside a vision area of the unit. In some cases, the adhesive securing the aerogel sheet to the interior surface is in contact with the first face of the aerogel sheet, and the adhesive contacts less than 10% of the first face of the aerogel sheet. Furthermore, some embodiments provide a glazing assembly that includes a frame and an IG unit mounted in the frame such that a vision area of the glazing assembly is located inwardly of the frame.

  • Publication number: 20230032209
Abstract: A display device that includes: a glass substrate comprising a refractive index (nsubstrate); a display device structure coupled to the substrate to collectively define a viewing area; and a black mask structure surrounding the display device structure that is coupled to the substrate and comprises a black ink layer and at least one glossy layer between the black ink layer and the glass substrate. The viewing area is characterized by (a) a reflectance from 0.5% to 2.5% as measured at 8 degrees from normal in the visible spectrum, (b) a brightness in the CIE colorimetry system such that 5<L*<17 for the specular component included (SCI), and (c) a brightness in the CIE colorimetry system such that 0<L*<3 for the specular component excluded (SCE). Further, the at least one glossy layer comprises a refractive index (nglossy) such that |nglossy?nsubstrate|>0.1.

  • Publication number: 20220411114
Abstract: A system for packaging two or more containers with a paperboard carrier having two or more apertures. Each aperture has a plurality of tabs formed at an inside edge thereof that bend upward when contacting a lower edge of a chime of one of the containers. The system includes a platen having apertures for pressing the carrier down uniformly onto the containers and carrier supports configured for maintaining the carrier in a flat configuration as the platen presses the carrier onto the containers substantially simultaneously. Some embodiments of the system include a manual applicator, while other embodiments include a semi-automatic apparatus that utilize linear actuators to facilitate loading the carriers and applying the carriers to a group of containers. Methods of use are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220390049
Abstract: This specification discloses an in-line sight device sealed of a transparent tube surrounded by a tube body having a window. The tube body is attached to at least one flange via an attachment device which avoids any torque on the seal gasket. The flange and tube body are in direct contact with each other and the seal gasket is between the transparent tube and the flange having pressure applied in the same fixed volume and pressure each time the device is assembled.

  • Patent number: 11487349
Abstract: An attraction capable of incorporating user interactivity. The attraction utilizes a slide for supporting a rider, with a ride vehicle or without. The ride vehicle may support one or multiple riders that allows the riders to manipulate its position or other associated elements while on the attraction. Upon manipulating an element, a signal may be transmitted. This signal may aid in determining whether a rider has successfully manipulated the element, for example, at an appropriate time. Sensors along the attraction may also be configured to track the user and/or ride vehicle via determining vicinity of the user and/or ride vehicle at a known location. Various rewards and/or features may be enabled based upon successful manipulation and/or user position. The attraction may include one or more illuminating features. Statistics or other information may be determined, stored, and/or provided (e.g., using mobile applications and/or scoreboards) relating to user performance.

  • Publication number: 20220332633
Abstract: The invention provides a method of processing glass that involves forming a flexible gel layer on a flexible glass sheet to create a glass-gel sheet; rolling-up the glass-gel sheet into the form of a roll; placing the roll in a dryer; and drying the flexible gel layer so as to form a flexible aerogel layer. Some embodiments provide a glazing unit that includes a glass-aerogel sheet located between first and second panes of the glazing unit, where the glass-aerogel sheet includes a flexible glass sheet and a flexible aerogel layer on the flexible glass sheet. In such embodiments, the first and second panes each have thicknesses that are greater than a thickness of the flexible glass sheet. Other embodiments provide a glass assembly having a flexible aerogel layer on a flexible glass sheet, with the flexible glass sheet being laminated to a glass pane.
