  • Publication number: 20030198502
Abstract: A dispensing closure that has a cover which is provided with a scrubbing structure that includes protuberances. In a preferred embodiment, the scrubbing structure is a resilient flexible material which has been molded on a generally rigid base. • Publication number: 20030034323
Abstract: A tamper-evident dispensing closure system is provided for a container. The system has a body for extending from the container at the container opening. The body defines a dispensing orifice, a channel, and a retention member projecting over a portion of the channel. The system includes a lid for being moved between a closed position and an open position. An anchor member is provided for being received in the channel and has an engaging portion for engaging the retention member when the anchor member is received in the channel. • Publication number: 20030017435
Abstract: A method and system for whitening teeth using at least a whitening gel, a whitening toothpaste, and a whitening rinse. Preferably the system employs a predetermined weight percentage of a peroxide based bleaching agent to effect tooth whitening. In certain formulations the components may use carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide as a bleaching agent. The system may be used at home and preferably does not require clinical visits. The method includes the steps of brushing the teeth daily and before each bleaching with a whitening toothpaste, bleaching the teeth with a whitening gel twice daily, and rinsing with a whitening rinse. Daily brushing with a whitening toothpaste and preferably rinsing with a whitening rinse follow these whitening treatments. A system or kit for whitening teeth includes all of the components necessary to follow the aforementioned method, including a whitening gel, whitening toothpaste, a whitening rinse, and one or more mouth guard trays.

  • Patent number: 6382476
Abstract: A dispensing structure is provided for a container that has an opening from which a product can be dispensed. The structure includes a body for extending around the container opening. The body defines a first dispensing aperture communicating with the container opening. An intermediate member defines at least one second dispensing aperture that is smaller than the first dispensing aperture. The intermediate member is pivotable about an axis between a closed position and an open position. A lid is pivotable on the closure body about the same axis as the intermediate member, and the lid is pivotable between a closed position and an open position.

  • Patent number: 6334555
Abstract: A fitment is provided for incorporation into a closure assembly to provide at least one high-pressure seal suitable for maintaining high-positive pressures in a container having pressurized contents, such as carbonated beverages. The fitment and closure assembly also provide for bi-modal dispensing operations, because the fitment it can be removed from the closure assembly to provide alternative flow characteristics from the container through the closure assembly. The fitment may also be provided with one or more projections adapted to engage a thread on the closure body such that rotation of the closure body relative to the container results in removal of the fitment from the container. The fitment may also be provided with one or more projections for engaging the closure body to limit its movement relative to the container, thereby defining a fully open dispensing position of the closure body.

  • Patent number: 6283333
Abstract: A toggle-action dispensing closure for a container is provided for manipulation between a closed, non-dispensing orientation and an open, dispensing orientation. The closure includes an actuator pivotally mounted along a tilting axis on a body secured to the container. The actuator is tiltable by applying force to the actuator on one side of the tilting axis so as to move the actuator from a non-dispensing position to a dispensing position. The actuator includes a striker rib extending downwardly at a position between an edge of the actuator and the tilting axis. The body includes a deck defining a dispensing aperture and supporting a post. The post extends vertically to underlie the actuator, preventing tilting of the actuator unless a sufficient opening force is exerted on the actuator to cause the striker rib to shear, or permanently deform, the post.

  • Patent number: 5711433
Abstract: A supporting bracket configured to support two planting pots. The bracket is substantially U-shaped and has extending base portions that support the base of a planting pot and has clips that engage the rim of the planting pot to secure the planting pot to the bracket. The bracket may be used singly or in multiples. Multiple brackets may be secured one to another by a simple fastener such as a bolt. The arrangement of the bracket provides for mounting the bracket or bracket assembly on a post, hanging the bracket or bracket assembly from a chain or similar device or simply mounting the bracket or bracket assembly onto a supporting member.

  • Patent number: 5104048
Abstract: A coal crushing facility having a coal crusher with an inlet feed chute and a feeding mechanism interposed between the crusher and a storage hopper wherein a top wall of the feed mechanism discharge chute includes a hinged door which is responsive to backup of coal in the crusher inlet chute to open slightly and effect operation of a proximity switch to shut down the feed motor. The circuit for the feed motor control may have a manual switch interposed therein to effect restarting of the feed motor only at will. The door may be moved to a full open position to provide a large opening to bring into operation a hydraulic breaker for breaking up large chunk coal and unclogging the feed chute. The door may be moved between open and closed positions by a motor operated winch.
