    Abstract: The engine control device is applied to a vehicle equipped with a suspension control device for driving stepping motors for changing damping forces of shock absorbers. The suspension control device performs an initializing process for resolving the step-out of the stepping motors by driving the stepping motors when an initialization performing condition is satisfied. The engine control device continues the engine operation when a signal for inhibiting the automatic stop of the operation of the engine is sent to the engine control device and the engine control device judges that no malfunction occurs in the suspension control device even if the engine stop condition is satisfied. The engine control device automatically stops the operation of the engine when the engine stop condition is satisfied and the engine control device judges that a malfunction occurs in the suspension control device even if the signal is sent to the engine control device.

The water shielding layer includes a multilayer tape in which a metal layer is sandwiched by resin layers. The anticorrosion layer is provided on an outer periphery portion of the water shielding layer. In the cross section of the multilayer tape, the metal layer has a corrugated shape.

    Abstract: A multi-primary color display device is capable of handling an increased number of primary colors for color image display with a reduced number of external parts, with reduced increase in the amount of drive circuit and reduced increase in operating speed. An active matrix liquid crystal panel includes a display section constituted by pixel formation portions, each made of four sub pixel-formation portions which handle four primary colors. These four sub pixel-formation portions are arranged in a 2×2 matrix pattern. With such a pixel configuration, a source driver drives as many as M source lines, which is two times the number M of pixels arranged in a horizontal direction. A gate driver is formed on the liquid crystal panel integrally with pixel circuit in the display section, and drives as many as N gate lines, which is two times the number N of the pixels arranged in a vertical direction.

    Abstract: Aspects of the invention are directed to a single chip igniter such that it is possible to realize a reduction in operating voltage, an increase in noise tolerance, a reduction in size, and a reduction in cost. By reducing the gate threshold voltage of a MOS transistor, and reducing the operating voltages of a current limiter circuit, an overheat detector circuit, a timer circuit, an overvoltage protection circuit, an input hysteresis circuit, and the like, it is possible to reduce the operating voltage of a single chip igniter. In some aspects of the invention, the effective gate voltage of the MOS transistor is 1V or more, and the channel length of the MOS transistor is 4 ?m or less. Also, in some aspects of the invention, the thickness of a gate oxide film of the MOS transistor is 5 nm or more, 25 nm or less.

    Abstract: Provided are a fluid conveying tube and a fluid leakage detecting system which can convey a cryogenic fluid such as LNG and which can quickly and reliably detect leakage of the fluid within the tube and the position of the leakage. An optical fiber is continuously wound over the entire length of a flexible tube. Leakage information detected by an optical fiber temperature sensor is transmitted via a terminal to an externally provided temperature measurement device. Meanwhile, when similar leakage occurs in the vicinity of a coupling section, the gas pressure inside the heat insulating layer or the like increases due to the pressure of LNG within a corrugated tube or a pressure generated as a result of evaporation of LNG. When the pressure inside the heat insulating layer increases, information representing a change in the gas pressure is transmitted to a terminal via a hollow pipe. A tube or the like is externally connected to the terminal, and is connected to a pressure meter or like.
