  • Patent number: 5918326
Abstract: A water jet massaging system is capable of applying water jet massage while a bather is taking a bath by producing a water jet at an appropriate pressure, and having enhanced operability by preventing sticking of a water intake and a nozzle to the body of the bather. More specifically, water is sucked in from a water source by a pump, and water jet at an appropriate pressure is injected through a nozzle so as to beat at the surface of the body of the bather, attaining massaging effects of water jet with ease. Further, the water intake is provided with passages for water flow to prevent blockage of water flow, and the nozzle is provided with an inclined surface on the side opposite the body to slow down velocity of water flow, preventing a sticking phenomenon.

  • Patent number: 5892805
Abstract: A reactor water clean-up system is provided with a first filter demineralizer having a filter resin containing an alkali substance and a second filter demineralizer with a filter resin not containing an alkali substance. The reactor water is supplied to the first filter demineralizer during the term from the starting operation of the preoperating test of the nuclear reactor and of each fuel cycle to 2000 EFPH. The alkali substance contained in the filter resin is guided into the nuclear reactor to change the pH of the reactor water in the nuclear reactor to the weak alkali side. The Cr quantity which is taken in the oxide film of the fuel cladding tube surface is reduced. After 2000 EFPH from the starting operation, the supply of the reactor water to the first filter demineralizer is stopped, and then, the reactor water is supplied to the second filter demineralizer.

  • Patent number: 5884119
Abstract: In the tri-level process in which positive and negative latent images are formed on a photosensitive body and then developed using toners of two colors (for example, red and black) charged respectively to opposite polarities with respect to the polarities of the latent images, there has been a problem of degrading the quality of a two-color picture by the appearance of a special phenomenon in which red toner is attached around a black image and black toner is attached around a red image by attraction of the reverse electric field. An exposure control is performed in order to suppress the fringe phenomenon.

  • Patent number: 5873667
Abstract: In a cosmetic container an outer body portion surrounds a main body portion and is rotatable with respect thereto. Rotation of the main body moves a cosmetic holder up and down within the main body. An insert sleeve is fixedly secured to the outer body and surrounds the main body. The upper portion of the outer body is formed to provide an integral active portion positioned between the main body and the insert sleeve with gaps therebetween. The active portion of the outer body is provided with an inwardly projecting circular rib at an intermediate portion thereof which rotatably contacts the outer peripheral surface of the main body. The opposite end of the active portion of the main body elastically engages with the inner peripheral portion of the insert sleeve. Thus, the active portion of the outer body will act as a spring and can be deformed appropriately within the space between the main body and the insert sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5865342
Abstract: A medication filling apparatus is equipped with a tablet case for holding medications and a dispensing drum which lets the medications fall through an outlet from the tablet case as it rotates, thereby dispensing the medications; it is further equipped with a plurality of grooves into which the medications from the tablet case are fed and which let the medications fall therefrom when they are aligned with the outlet; and a separating member which is provided in such a manner that it juts out into or over the groove aligned with the outlet. The separating member is composed of a material which has predetermined lateral and longitudinal dimensions and also certain flexibility; the separating member is capable of securely retaining a medication thereon. Furthermore, since the separating member has certain flexibility, it does not scratch medications even if the medications bump against it, and it also prevents a dispensing failure caused by the medications being caught.

  • Patent number: 5721022
Abstract: Two types of disposable pans made from a paper sheet material by press means are disclosed, particularly designed to prevent its paper configuration from easily deforming and/or to prevent its bottom portion from easy burning or scorching. The one type includes at least two parts, a bowl-like concave part having a bottom portion and an opening divergent part extended upwards from said concave parts. This type necessitates a specific supporting means when used with a cooking oven. The another type additionally includes a flange part interposed between said two parts and can be used without any supporting means. In order to prevent the paper configuration from easy deforming, a plurality of folds are provided on the opening divergent part to have the overlapped width small, and/or a synthetic resin is laminated on said paper sheet material.

  • Patent number: 5712855
Abstract: The present invention is intended to provide a testing and measuring apparatus for accurately and quickly calibrating the input and output timing of a plurality of test signal patterns and voltage levels. The invention also offers a method used for the calibration. The apparatus is equipped with a plurality of units (timing vector generators) each having a timing-generating circuit (a capture timing generator) and an external common reference timing circuit (a golden edge generator) outside the units. Each unit comprises: (1) a timing comparator circuit (a capture comparator) for comparing the timing each of the timing-generating circuits with the timing of the reference timing circuit to determine whether the former timing leads or lags the latter timing; and (2) a counter circuit which counts a number of comparisons made by the comparator circuit until their sequential relation has been reversed.

  • Patent number: 5621292
Abstract: A servo system includes a communication cable which is disposed between a servo control circuit and a servo amplifier. A feedback cable and a power cable are each connected between the servo amplifier and a servo motor. The communication cable includes a command signal line from the servo control circuit to the servo amplifier and a feedback signal line. The command signal line includes three PWM signal lines instead of six PWM signal lines through the use of inverters in the servo amplifier, ground lines, an enable signal line, and other various signal lines. The feedback signal line transmits a position feedback signal, which is sent from the servo motor via the servo amplifier, to the servo control circuit. Thus, a number of signal lines between the servo control circuit and the servo amplifier become unnecessary and are used as feedback signal lines for transmitting position feedback signals from the servo motor.
