Publication number: 20080069826Abstract: A cDNA fragment participating in the maintenance of smooth muscle differentiation was isolated using a culture system of chicken gizzard smooth muscle cells, the differential display method and the subtracted hybridization method. Using the obtained cDNA sequence as a query, cDNA sequences of Helix Research Institute (Japanese Patent Application No. 2000-118776) were retrieved, and thus, a novel gene “C-NT2RP3001495” was obtained. The protein encoded by this gene has two WW domains that participate in protein interactions in the N-terminal domain. Evidence suggests that this protein binds to other proteins, and thus regulates the intracellular signal transduction, gene expression, and so on, thereby participating in the maintenance of the differentiation of smooth muscle cells. This protein and compounds regulating the expression thereof are markedly useful in developing drugs for various diseases associated with abnormality in the maintenance of smooth muscle cell differentiation.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2007Publication date: March 20, 2008Inventors: Toshio Ota, Takao Isogai, Tetsuo Nishikawa, Koji Hayashi, Kaoru Otsuka, Jun-Ichi Yamamoto, Shizuko Ishii, Tomoyasu Sugiyama, Ai Wakamatsu, Keiichi Nagai, Tetsuji Otsuki, Shin-Ichi Funahashi, Shoji Miyata, Kenji Sobue, Kenichiro Hayashi

Publication number: 20070064588Abstract: A transmission method of a digital broadcast which is compatible with the DVB-T terrestrial digital broadcast system in Europe and saves a battery in a mobile terminal is provided. Superframes in DVB-T are divided into units each including plural symbols so that an integer number of TS packets can be carried in each slot. At least one slot is used to transmit one service. Energy dispersion, Reed-Solomon coding, byte interleaving, convolutional coding, and time interleaving are applied to each service. When services for mobile terminal reception and services for fixed terminals are transmitted as the provided services, null packets may be transmitted before and after the slot carrying the mobile receiver service so that the fixed reception service and the mobile reception services are not mixed. If the fixed terminal handles TS packets of the mobile reception service as error packets, it could have no problem in reception.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2004Publication date: March 22, 2007Inventors: Akira Kisoda, Sadashi Kageyama, Tomohiro Kimura, Hiroki Furukawa, Kenichiro Hayashi, Yuji Nakai

Publication number: 20060109797Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a plurality of routers in more than one network based on different protocols can be integrally managed. The management system of the present invention is capable of integrally managing a plurality of routers in a network based on IPv6 from another network based on IPv4, wherein a relay server receives the identification data from a router, and transmits it to a LAN server. The LAN server uses the received identification data, and pushes the configuration data prepared in advance for the accessing router into the router. The relay server, which has a converting function between IPv4 and IPv6, manages the network on the routers side by IPv6 while it manages the network on the LAN server's side by IPv4.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2005Publication date: May 25, 2006Applicant: Internet Initiative Japan, Inc.Inventors: Kiyoshi Ishida, Masanobu Saitoh, Kenichiro Hayashi

Publication number: 20050073949Abstract: An OFDM signal receiver reduces frequency response estimation error, and reduces the circuit scale needed for a hardware implementation and the number of operations performed in a software implementation. A first Fourier transform circuit converts an OFDM signal to the frequency domain by a Fourier transform. A first divider divides the pilot signal contained in the frequency domain OFDM signal by a specified pilot signal. A zero insertion means then inserts zero signals in the first divider output. A window function multiplying means multiplies the zero insertion means output by a window function, and an inverse Fourier transform means applies an inverse Fourier transform to the multiplier output. A coring means then cores the inverse Fourier transform output, and truncation means truncates the coring means output at a specified data length. A second Fourier transform circuit applies another Fourier transform to the truncated result.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 1, 2004Publication date: April 7, 2005Inventor: Kenichiro Hayashi

Patent number: 6793055Abstract: A torque cam mechanism comprises first and second cam members disposed relatively rotatably around a common axis and cam balls adapted to fit in first and second cam grooves formed, respectively, in confronting surfaces of the first and second cam members. The depth of the first cam grooves is made larger than the radius of the cam balls, whereas the depth of the second cam grooves is made smaller than the radius of the cam balls, whereby even though a centrifugal force is applied to the cam balls which rotate together with the first and second cam members, the generation of thrust forces for separating the confronting surfaces of the first and second cam members can be suppressed by receiving the centrifugal force so applied to the cam balls by the first cam grooves which are deeper.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2002Date of Patent: September 21, 2004Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tomoaki Kasuya, Kentaro Arai, Kazuhiro Wada, Kenichiro Hayashi, Ryuichi Murakami, Katsuhiro Kitamura
