The DC part includes: a buffer layer covering at least upper surfaces of the optical waveguides; a first bias electrode opposed to the first optical waveguide through the buffer layer; and a second bias electrode provided adjacent to the first bias electrode. A first DC bias voltage is applied between the first and second bias electrodes. A waveguide layer removal area in which at least part of the waveguide layer is removed is provided at least under an area between the first and second bias electrodes.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus in which identification of a corresponding target point between images is easily performed, and physically appropriate registration can be performed by using the identification is provided. Abstract: Provided is a method for operating an RO-membrane treatment system that includes an energy recovery device that recovers energy from the concentrate of an RO-membrane device and the RO-membrane treatment system that reduce the occurrence of biofouling in not only the RO-membrane device but also the energy recovery device in order to increase the energy efficiency of the entire system and operate the RO-membrane treatment system with consistency. The method includes adding at least one slime-control agent selected from a combined-chlorine slime-control agent and a stabilized-bromine slime-control agent to water that is to be treated with the reverse-osmosis-membrane device such that a residual halogen concentration in the concentrate that is to be introduced into the energy recovery device is 0.1 to 10000 mg/L as total chlorine.

Abstract: A monitoring control system includes: at least one transmission monitoring control subsystem; and at least one distribution monitoring control subsystem. The transmission monitoring control subsystem and the distribution monitoring control subsystem respectively include an operation procedure creation unit that creates an operation procedure that defines a procedure of an operation for a facility installed in an electric power system, and an operation unit that, in a case an on-site operation that cannot be remotely performed on the facility is included in the operation procedure, transmits, to an on-site terminal associated with the on-site operation, a start confirmation instruction to confirm whether or not the on-site operation can be started and the operation procedure for the on-site operation. The monitoring control system performs monitoring control of the power transmission system and the power distribution system based on the operation procedure.

In the multilayer coil component, the stress alleviation portion is provided in the inner region of the multilayer coil in which a stress tends to be concentrated to alleviate the stress in the inner region of the multilayer coil, and thereby occurrence of cracking in the element body can be suppressed.

The image information providing device generates original image information on the basis of the infrastructure facility statuses received from the monitoring control device. The client control device is connected to a display device and an operation device, receives information for designating a partial area of an entire image capable of being generated from the original image information from the operation device, transmits the received information to the image information providing device, and displays an image based on information received from the image information providing device on the display device.
