Abstract: A plasma display panel; a scan electrode drive circuit for generating a gently decreasing downward inclined waveform voltage in an initializing period, a gently increasing first inclined waveform voltage in an initializing period of at least one subfield in one field period, and a second inclined waveform voltage having a steeper gradient than the first inclined waveform voltage and decreasing immediately after the increasing waveform voltage reaches a predetermined potential in the last part of the sustain period; and a panel temperature detecting circuit are provided. The lowest voltage in the downward inclined waveform voltage is switched at a first voltage, a second voltage higher than the first voltage and a third voltage higher than the second voltage to generate a downward inclined waveform voltage. • Publication number: 20100033506
Abstract: A driving method of plasma display panels is disclosed. This method can suppress a dark belt occurring in displaying a video of a lower part of grayscale. One field includes plural sub-fields, and each one of the sub-fields has an addressing period during which a scan pulse is applied to the scan electrodes and a data pulse is applied to the data electrodes, and a sustaining period during which a sustain pulse is applied to the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes. A time interval between a scan pulse applied lastly during the addressing period and a sustain pulse applied firstly during the sustaining period is defined as a last pulse-interval. The last pulse-interval of at least one sub-field of a lower part of grayscale, which lower part is darker than a predetermined level of the grayscale, is set longer than the last pulse-intervals of the other sub-fields.

  • Publication number: 20100013819
Abstract: In a former half (T11) of an all-cell reset period (T1), the potential of a scan electrode (Scn) is raised from 0 [V] to Vp [V] at a timing t0, and thereafter maintained at the positive potential of Vp [V] to Vg [V] until a timing t3 when the former half (T11) ends. On the other hand, in the same former half (T11), a reset pulse (Pul.2), which includes a negative ramp waveform portion from 0 [V] to a potential of Vr [V], is applied to a sustain electrode (Sus). A time period (t1?t0) of the negative ramp waveform portion of the pulse (Pul.2) is set longer than a time period required for the potential change of a pulse (Pul.1) from P1 to P2.

  • Publication number: 20090322732
Abstract: The method for driving a plasma display panel effects control of the subfields as follows. The all-cell initializing operation on the discharge cell is carried out in the initializing period of at least one sub-filed; the rest of the subfields other than the aforementioned subfield selectively carry out an addressing operation in each discharge cell. Gradation display is attained by combination of a subfield having an address discharge in the address period and a sub-filed with no address discharge in the address period. In a discharge cell where an address discharge is generated in the address period of a subfield that follows the subfield having the all-cell initializing operation in the initializing period, the subfield having the all-cell initializing operation has an address period for generating an address discharge.

  • Publication number: 20090268336
Abstract: A data storage device, that stores write data by a head, rewrites data on an adjacent track at a timing which is different from write retry of detecting a head off track when data may be written to an adjacent track. When an off track error, which affects data on an adjacent track, is generated by a write command, rewrite processing of this write command is not executed immediately, but a rewrite request including information on the track to be rewritten and the shift amount of the off track is held. And the rewrite request being held is executed at a timing which is different from the write retry. So rewrite processing can be executed after vibration, which caused the off track, stops, and the generation of an off track error during rewrite processing and the generation of further off track writing can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 7565947
Abstract: A vehicular steering system can suppress steering of steerable road wheels in a direction not intended by a driver. A steering mechanism steers the steerable road wheels in accordance with a steering wheel and an auxiliary steering angle superposition mechanism. A calculation section calculates a target auxiliary steering angle corresponding to a steering wheel angle of the steering wheel. A detection section accurately detects the auxiliary steering angle based on detection signals of a rotation angle sensor that detects a rotation angle of a rotational member. A driving section controls the auxiliary steering angle superposition mechanism so as to make the auxiliary steering angle coincide with the target auxiliary steering angle. An auxiliary steering angle detection abnormality monitoring section detects abnormality of the auxiliary steering angle detection section.
