  • Publication number: 20070277059
Abstract: A storage device performs a reading process or a writing process based on a command received from an upper-level device, and when an error occurs in the reading process or the writing process, generates a predetermined sense according to a result of a retry, and reports the predetermined sense to the upper-level device. A time measuring unit measures a remedying time that is required to remedy the error in execution of the command by a hidden retry that is executed as a sort of the retry. A time determining unit determines whether the remedying time measured by the time measuring unit exceeds a predetermined time threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070109223
Abstract: During each set-up period, wall charges of scan electrodes and sustain electrodes, between which sustain discharges were generated in the previous subfield, are adjusted, and parts toward the sustain electrodes of positive charges in the scan electrodes are replaced by negative charges and parts toward the scan electrodes of negative charges in the sustain electrodes are replaced by positive charges. During each address period, write pulses are applied to the scan electrodes to generate write discharges utilizing priming discharges between the scan electrodes and priming electrodes. During each sustain period, positive charges are accumulated in the entire surfaces of the scan electrodes and negative charges are accumulated in the entire surfaces of the sustain electrodes.

  • Patent number: 7138966
Abstract: The present invention provides a plasma display device for displaying a high quality image, and its driving method, with which the production cost and power consumption may be reduced and write errors may be suppressed. In the driving method, the length of the erase period D2 is T0+160 ?sec, based on the number of sustain pulses being greater than or equal to 25 and less than 50 in the discharge sustain period C2. The length is set by a T1 setting unit according to the information on the number of the sustain pulses sent from a preprocessor in a driving unit, and a T1 table stored in a T1 table storage unit. The T1 setting unit sets T1=160 ?sec referring to an extension time period T1 corresponding to the number of sustain pulses that is greater than or equal to 25 and less than 50 in the T1 table.

  • Patent number: 7061178
Abstract: In a plasma display device in which a substrate contains a plurality of rows of sustain electrodes and scan electrodes, a terminal lead-out section of sustain electrodes is formed of a structure in which a common connection pattern is disposed at a location other than the effective display area of the panel, which provides all rows of sustain electrodes with a common connection. Furthermore, a plurality of connecting blocks, to which each of a plurality of flexible printed circuits (FPCs) is connected, are arranged at almost the same pitch to establish an electrical connection with the common connection pattern. A terminal lead-out section so structured can minimize differences in luminance on the panel caused by an uneven amount of current flow into the FPCs.

  • Patent number: 7004358
Abstract: A dispenser has a seal disk (30), a valve member (40), a plunger guide block (50), a motor (3), which rotates a cam-follower guide block (60), and an end cam (5). The seal disk (30) has communication holes (31), (32) and a sliding surface (33). The valve member has a sliding surface (41), three plunger holes (42) and three plungers (80) inserted in the plunger holes. The cam-follower guide block (60) has three guide holes (62) that receive cam followers, which each have a body (70) with a ball (75) within a recess (71). The ball (75) contacts the cam surface (5A) of the cam (5) which causes the cam followers and plungers (80) to move back and forth parallel to the dispenser axis. The coefficient of friction between the ball and the recess is less than that between the ball and the cam surface (5A).

  • Publication number: 20050224159
Abstract: A tire structural member manufacturing method forms a tire structural member from a narrow continuous strip by small, inexpensive equipment capable of being directly combined with a tire structural member forming machine, and a tire structural member manufacturing system carries out the tire structural member manufacturing method. The tire structural member manufacturing methods consists of a small number of steps and can be carried out by an efficient, simple, inexpensive tire structural member manufacturing system. The tire structural member manufacturing method forms a tire structural member by the steps of continuously forming a continuous strip of a width including that of a joint lap, cutting the continuous strip into successive cut strips of a length substantially equal to the section width of a tire, and successively laying and joining a predetermined number of the cut strips.

  • Patent number: 6950604
Abstract: Random access reproduction in prompt response to user commands is realized. A stream analyzing block analyzes sequentially inputted transport streams to get entry point data. Discontinuity point data are obtained in correspondence to a discontinuity occurrence flag inputted from a PLL block. Sequentially inputted transport packets are analyzed to get mark point data. A stream database creating block creates a stream database by use of the discontinuity point data and the mark point data. The stream database is recorded on a recording medium.
