  • Publication number: 20050116374
Abstract: To provide a method of manufacturing a thin rubber member capable of accommodating various-size and manufacturing a thin rubber member having a constant thickness. In the first step, a long rectangular rubber strip having taper portions formed at both end portions in a transverse direction of the long rectangular rubber strip is cut to a predetermined length to thereby form a plurality of segmented rubber strips 36. In the second step, taper portions 36B at both end portions in a transverse direction of the rubber strip 36 are overlapped with one another, and a plurality of the segmented rubber strips 36 is connected to each other in the transverse direction, whereby a rubber sheet 38, the end portions of which are tapered and which has a large area, can be formed. Further, the rubber sheet 38 that can accommodate various sizes can be obtained by changing the length of the segmented rubber strip 36 and the number of connections thereof.

  • Publication number: 20040233134
Abstract: The present invention provides a plasma display device for displaying a high quality image, and its driving method, with which the production cost and power consumption may be reduced and write errors may be suppressed. In the driving method, the length of the erase period D2 is T0+160 &mgr;sec, based on the number of sustain pulses being greater than or equal to 25 and less than 50 in the discharge sustain period C2. The length is set by a T1 setting unit according to the information on the number of the sustain pulses sent from a preprocessor in a driving unit, and a T1 table stored in a T1 table storage unit. The T1 setting unit sets T1=160 &mgr;sec referring to an extension time period T1 corresponding to the number of sustain pulses that is greater than or equal to 25 and less than 50 in the T1 table.

  • Publication number: 20040232838
Abstract: In a plasma display device in which a substrate contains a plurality of rows of sustain electrodes and scan electrodes, a terminal lead-out section of sustain electrodes is formed of a structure in which a common connection pattern is disposed at a location other than the effective display area of the panel, which provides all rows of sustain electrodes with a common connection. Furthermore, a plurality of connecting blocks, to which each of a plurality of flexible printed circuits (FPCs) is connected, are arranged at almost the same pitch to establish an electrical connection with the common connection pattern. A terminal lead-out section so structured can minimize differences in luminance on the panel caused by an uneven amount of current flow into the FPCs.

  • Publication number: 20040156623
Abstract: Random access reproduction in prompt response to user commands is realized. A stream analyzing block analyzes sequentially inputted transport streams to get entry point data. Discontinuity point data are obtained in correspondence to a discontinuity occurrence flag inputted from a PLL block. Sequentially inputted transport packets are analyzed to get mark point data. A stream database creating block creates a stream database by use of the discontinuity point data and the mark point data. The stream database is recorded on a recording medium.

  • Patent number: 6751400
Abstract: The reverse direction reproduction of encoded data comprised of picture data compressed in accordance with the MPEG system is to be realized at a higher speed. To this end, plural frame memories are used for reverse direction reproduction. The respective pictures are sequentially decoded and the decoded pictures are sequentially held in the frame memories. If there is no vacant memory, the frame memories are sequentially overwritten beginning from the frame memory which stores the picture decoded first. If the decoding progresses up to the picture to be reproduced, and the decoding of the picture to be reproduced comes to a close, the decoding is transiently halted and the picture to be reproduced is read out from the frame memory and displayed. If the picture to be reproduced is displayed, the frame memory which has held the displayed picture is evacuated. The decoding is re-initiated for decoding the picture consecutive to the picture the data of which are as yet held in the frame memory.

  • Patent number: 6728469
Abstract: The present invention enables to obtain a video representation with a smooth motion during a fast reproduction of a video signal which has been prediction coded in the time axis direction. A video signal reproduction apparatus 100 includes a controller 11 having a detection block 11a, a decision block 11b, and mode switching block 11c. According to an information from a demultiplexer 5 and a decode information from a video decoder 6, the controller 11 detects a reproduction speed in the detection block 11a. The detected reproduction speed is supplied to the decision block 11b where it is compared to a predetermined threshold value so as to select a first fast reproduction mode requiring reproduction of all the reference pictures of the video signal which has been prediction coded or a second fast reproduction mode requiring reproduction of some the reference pictures. According to this decision result, the mode switching block 11c switches between the first and the second rast reproduction modes.

  • Patent number: 6650403
Abstract: In a distance measuring device, reflected pulsed light beams with respect to one transmitted light beam are amplified by plural amplifiers (22a, 22b) of different gains. The retroreflection times of the reflected pulsed light beams are detected by retroreflection time detectors (30a, 30b) respectively connected to the amplifiers. Based on outputs of the retroreflection time detectors, distance calculator (40) judges the overlapping state of the reflected pulses and the power of reflection from first pulse widths of the reflected pulsed light beams, selects a distance calculating method in accordance with the state, and outputs distance measurement data of high reliability.
