  • Publication number: 20040070486
Abstract: A thermal fuse having a quick melting property is provided. In the thermal fuse, metal layers 15, 16 connected to a fusible alloy 13 are provided at respective leading ends of a pair of metal terminals 11. The metal layers 15, 16 have larger wettability to a fusible alloy 13 than wettability of metal terminals 11 and first insulating film 12. The area (S) of the metal layers 15, 16, the length (L1) and the volume (V) of the fusible alloy 13, the distance (L2) between the leading ends of the metal terminals 11, and the distance (d) from the bottom face of the second insulating film 14 to the top face of the metal layers 15,16 satisfy the relation of Sd>V(L1+L2)/2L1.

  • Patent number: 6601436
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting and processing impacts to an electronic percussion instrument is disclosed. The apparatus includes a pad for being impacted with an impact pressure at an impact point, and several sensors. One sensor is located in close proximity to the pad for producing a first output value corresponding to the impact pressure, and another sensor located in close proximity to the pad for producing a second output value corresponding to the impact point and the impact pressure. A processor determines a computed impact point from the first and second output values, and controls output sound in conformance with the computed impact point.

  • Publication number: 20020060794
Abstract: A low coherent reflectometer uses low coherent beams for measurement of reflectance and reflecting positions with respect to a measured optical circuit which includes a reflecting point. The low coherent beams are branched to produce measurement beams (DL) and local beams (KL), so that the measurement beams are introduced into a first optical path, which includes a dispersion shifted fiber, towards the measured optical circuit, while the local beams are introduced into a second optical path which includes a spatial optical path terminated by a reflecting mirror. Reflected measurement beams (RL) and reflected local beams are combined together to produce combined beams, which are subjected to processing and analysis. The spatial resolution is noticeably improved even though the spatial optical path length is varied because the length of the dispersion shifted fiber is determined to substantially match the spatial optical path length.
