  • Publication number: 20030093699
Abstract: A method and system for authorizing access to networked information using a graphically based password. In one embodiment, access to a restricted document is granted only after the user has demonstrated its authority to access the information by identifying a previously determined sequence of graphical images. If the user identifies the correct images, the user is granted access to the restricted information. In one embodiment, the graphical images may be presented to the user as a sequence of web pages where each page has multiple graphical images (icons). On each page in the sequence, the user selects (such as by clicking) the correct icon. The icon may be implemented as a link to the next web page in the password sequence. As each page is presented, the user clicks the correct icon thereby generating a sequence of accessed web pages. The server then verifies the user as an authorized user by comparing the sequence of web pages visited by the user to a predetermined sequence.

  • Publication number: 20030074455
Abstract: A server system and method in which the server determines whether a requesting client is accessing a requested document or page in a manner contemplated by the server. The server may first determine whether the client has direct access authority such as by interpreting cookie information supplied with the client request. The client may obtain direct access authority if the client has previously accessed server documents in a prescribed manner. If the client lacks direct access, the server may determine if the client has been referred or quoted to the requested page by a third party server or referrer that has authority to refer clients to the requested page. The server device may maintain a table of information in its storage to facilitate the determination of which referring parties have authority to which documents on the server.

  • Publication number: 20030066402
Abstract: A molded anvil blanket is formed with a projection depending at each end, the ends for abutting when wrapped about the anvil, the anvil having a transverse channel for receiving the projections. The projections mate to form a common recess enclosed by a metal angle member secured to each projection. The angle member and projections have a transverse slot for mounting the blanket end and projections on a pneumatic mechanism attached to the anvil. The mechanism includes an air cylinder secured to the anvil in a radial anvil bore. The cylinder has a shaft which extends in response to pressurized air. A spring attached to the air cylinder and to a T-bar which releasably engages the blanket common recess normally biases the projections locked into the channel in a fail safe mode. The activated air cylinder lifts the projections out of the channel so the blanket ends can be manually released from the anvil by sliding the T-bar out of engagement with the projections via the slots in the projections and angle member.

  • Publication number: 20030041714
Abstract: An anvil blanket is molded urethane sheet material and formed with a plurality of interlocking fingers at mating opposing blanket ends and includes a depending projection which mates with a channel in the anvil about which the blanket is wrapped. A urethane insert having a hardness greater than the blanket material is molded embedded in the blanket to form a portion of the fingers and a portion of the projection depending from the fingers. A woven fiberglass fabric provides support for the blanket which is molded to the fabric. The insert has a durometer greater than that of the blanket to minimize the formation of surface recess defects at the projection which might otherwise occur due to the increased thickness of material at the projection. The insert may have other properties different than that of the blanket material including rebound, modulus, and cut and tear strength among others for resisting the formation of blanket surface defects. Different embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6506703
Abstract: An ion exchange method is provided for loading and uniformly distributing noble metals into a catalyst substrate comprising a zeolite to make a monofunctional, non-acidic reforming catalyst. The catalyst substrate is contacted with an aqueous loading solution comprising noble metal cations and non-noble metal cations. The loading solution is formulated such that the equivalents of non-noble metal cations remaining in the catalyst not ionically bonded to the zeolite when loading is complete is 1.2 to 6.0 times the equivalents of non-noble metal cations displaced from the zeolite when the noble metal cations ion exchange into the zeolite, and simultaneously the endpoint pH of the loading solution is between 10.0 and 11.5. The required 1.2 to 6.0 ratio is achieved when the ratio of moles of non-noble metal cations added to the loading solution to moles of noble metal added to the loading solution is between 1 and 10.

  • Patent number: 6504074
Abstract: There is provided a coated zeolite catalyst in which the accessibility of the acid sites on the external surfaces of the zeolite is controlled and a process for converting hydrocarbons utilizing the coated zeolite catalyst. The zeolite catalyst comprises core crystals of a first zeolite and a discontinuous layer of smaller size second crystals of a second zeolite which cover at least a portion of the external surface of the first crystals The coated zeolite catalyst finds particular application in hydrocarbon conversion processes where catalyst activity in combination with zeolite structure are important for reaction selectivity, e.g., catalytic cracking, alkylation, disproportional of toluene, isomerization, and transalkylation reactions.

  • Patent number: 6484829
Abstract: A self-propelled battery-powered wheelchair replaces an ordinary wheelchair and provides improved access to homes. The wheelchair includes stair climbing, slope climbing, and reclining while requiring only minimal driver skill and strength. Operation on level ground is similar to the operation of a conventional wheelchair. Support for normal operation is provided by a rear caster and wheels on the front corners. Its compact width and length enable negotiating narrow doorways and turning in small spaces. To ensure stability on stairs, moveable skids are mounted to the four corners of the wheelchair. Parallelogram linkages move the front skids down and forward during climbing. Another parallelogram linkage moves the caster and rear skids up and at an angle during climbing. The wheelchair is steerable on stairs as needed to align with the stair path and accommodate slightly spiraling stairs. The wheelchair accommodates stair steps of different riser heights and tread lengths.

  • Patent number: 6380957
Abstract: A method of viewing a directory tree containing logical file system objects residing on a computer system, by displaying a directory tree on a display device of the computer system utilizing a graphical user interface (GUI), expanding a first node of the tree to reveal one or more branches of the first node, and then later expanding a second node of the tree to reveal one or more branches of the second node, wherein the invention automatically collapses the first node of the tree to conceal the one or more branches of the first node in response to the expanding of the second node. This automatic collapsing of other nodes that are not in the path of the selected node thus limits overall expansion of the tree. The setting may be toggled between enabled and disabled states. A pull-down menu can be provided by the GUI which contains the “limit expansion” command.

  • Patent number: 6267418
Abstract: A threadless coupling for pressurized systems includes a nut member and a mating member. The nut member has a first axial end for attachment to the pressure sensitive control, a second axial end configured for engagement with the mating member, and a housing extending between the first axial end and the second axial end. The housing is configured for locking engagement with a pair of retaining tabs extending from an outer surface of the mating member. Each mating member retaining tab engages a corresponding seating surface and step surface of the respective housing opening so that relative axial and rotational movement of the nut member and mating member is prevented.
