  • Publication number: 20080178002
Abstract: The authentication server authenticated by a public key certificate at the time of authentication generates a difference parameter, transforms a template by the difference parameter to create a temporary registration template, and transmits the difference parameter to a tamper resistant device. The tamper resistant device generates a temporary parameter from the held transformation parameter and the difference parameter. A client terminal transforms feature using the temporary parameter, and generates temporarily-transformed feature. An authentication server receives the temporarily-transformed feature, and verifies whether the temporary registration template is in agreement with the temporarily-transformed feature.

  • Publication number: 20080178008
Abstract: The present invention captures user's biometric data during enrollment and converts it by a given conversion parameter to create a template. It creates verification information for the conversion parameter, and enrolls it in an authentication server together with the template. The conversion parameter is stored in an IC card or the like for issuance to the user. During authentication, the authentication server verifies that the authentication terminal knows the conversion parameter, using conversion parameter verification information. Next, the authentication terminal converts user's biometric data newly captured by a conversion parameter to create matching information, and transmits it to the authentication server. The authentication server matches the matching information with the template to determine whether the user is a principal.

  • Publication number: 20080072063
Abstract: A personal authentication system using biometrics information. The system orders, when an characteristic element in the biometrics information (such as a characteristic point in a fingerprint) can be expressed with two types of information (such as, for instance, a coordinate values for a characteristic point in a fingerprint and a local partial image), the characteristic points using one type of information (for instance, local partial image) as label information, and outputs other type of information (such as coordinate values) as key information according to the order.

  • Publication number: 20080037833
Abstract: A personal authentication method is provided for authenticating a user by cross-relation between an enrolled image and a verification image of biometric information of the user. Upon registration of the biometric information, the method generates a filter for scrambling the image and an inverse filter thereof, and applies the filter to the enrolled image generated from the biometric information to generate a registration template which is then stored to a memory. Upon authentication of the user, the method applies the inverse filter to the verification image generated from the biometric information collected from the user, and then verifies the identity of the user based on cross-relation between the verification image after application of the inverse filter and the registration template.

  • Publication number: 20070286465
Abstract: Upon registration, a client extracts plural feature points and information (identification information) by which each of the feature points can be identified, from a user's fingerprint, and randomly generates a transformation parameter for each feature point to transform the coordinates and direction. The transformed identification information (template) is transmitted to an authentication server and stored in a memory. The identification information and transformation parameters of the feature points are stored in a memory medium of the user. Upon authentication of the user, the client extracts feature points from the user's fingerprint, and identifies the feature points by the identification information in the memory medium. The client transforms the identified feature points by reading the corresponding transformation parameters from the memory medium, and transmits the transformed information to the authentication server.

  • Publication number: 20070245155
Abstract: Secret information only a user can know is encrypted and a decryption key is stored in a biometric information sensor. The biometric information sensor has a secret information decryption unit, a secret information display unit for presenting the secret information to the user, a biometric information detection unit for detecting that biometric information is presented to a biometric information input unit, and an alarm notice unit for issuing an alarm to the user if the biometric information is detected before the secret information is presented.

  • Publication number: 20070118758
Abstract: When biometric information is registered, master helper data is created from user's biometric information and is saved in an IC card. When a user is registered in an authentication server, a password is created and registered in the server, the master helper data is converted to create helper data corresponding to the password, and the helper data is saved in an authentication terminal. When a user is authenticated, the authentication terminal generates an authentication password from the helper data and newly acquired user's biometric information, sends the generated authentication password to the authentication server, and the authentication server compares the authentication password with a registration password to authenticate the user.

  • Patent number: 7148387
Abstract: Discloses a process for efficiently producing a hydroxyl group containing compound with a simple apparatus and simple procedures using a very small amount of a catalyst, which process reduces a catalyst recovering step and a catalyst neutralization step vastly and does not require catalyst regeneration and catalyst exchange. The process for producing a hydroxyl group containing compound comprises allowing an aqueous solution containing 1 ppb to 500 ppm of an acid catalyst to react with an aliphatic double bond having compound in a molar ratio (water/aliphatic double bond having compound) of water to aliphatic double bond having compound of from 1 to 50, at a reaction temperature of from 200 to 600° C. under a reaction pressure of from 1 to 100 MPa and thereby conducting hydration reaction of the aliphatic double bond containing compound with water.

  • Patent number: 7107576
Abstract: A method of associating two components in an object-oriented includes generating a component information management table. A first component refers to a second component deployed in a component execution module, the first component including component information on the second component. The management table includes the component information and a physical component name of the second component. The component information includes an external interface name and description of the second component. The physical component name of the second component is retrieved from the component information management table using the component information stored in the first component. The physical component name of the second component obtained from the retrieving step is associated with a logical component name stored in the first component.

  • Publication number: 20060101059
Abstract: A business system on the Web base having a plurality of system apparatuses and software components aims at reducing a load on configuration works and employment works of the business system. In an employment management system for the business system having a plurality of system apparatuses, a storage device stores unit configuration information, a plurality of methods constituting a common interface, and a program for each method. The common interface has at least a partial halt method for making the unit halt an operation of the business system and a partial restart method for making the unit restart the operation of the business system. When an arithmetic processing part performs employment operations by making a predetermined system apparatus halt the operation of the business system, the unit including the predetermined system is subjected to partial halt, employment operations and then partial restart.
