Abstract: Anti-kink tubing includes a hose or tube having an inner surface and an outer surface that form an inner enclosed cavity that defines a central axis of the tube. A plurality of anti-kink projections attach to at least one of the inner and outer surfaces. The plurality of anti-kink projections may extend along at least one of the inner and outer surfaces in a direction generally parallel to the central axis of the anti-kink tubing.

Abstract: An accessory for a wearable computer includes a strap having a cover that covers a plurality of batteries; a first connector that joins a first end of the strap to a first end of the wearable computer; a second connector that joins a second end of the strap to a second end of the wearable computer, the second connector having a housing, and an electrical coupling; and an electronic control unit disposed within the housing, the electronic control unit being electrically connected to the plurality of batteries and being electrically connected to the electrical coupling. The electrical coupling is configured to be electrically connected to the wearable computer, and the batteries supply power to the wearable computer via the electronic control unit and the electrical coupling.

Abstract: The methods and systems disclosed enable objective verification of the delivery of goods based on comparative data sets; one associated with a given address location and the other associated with retrieved positional coordinates using a global positioning system (GPS) while at the location of delivery, with the retrieved coordinates tagged to a digital photograph of the intended recipient. Comparative data sets are also obtained from a digitized photograph showing an intended recipient's face, the photograph provided by the customer requesting the delivery, and from a photograph taken at the location of delivery to the recipient. Facial recognition technology is utilized to determine if there is a match between the two images. Satisfaction and assurance of delivery is further achieved by delivery to the customer of the photograph taken at the location of delivery showing the recipient with the goods.

Abstract: The methods and systems disclosed enable the association of data with individuals, organizations, places, objects, things with information, or a rating or score. Computer vision is used to identify the subject or capture an image of the subject's face. A portable computing device, such as a wearable computer, may include the cameras, microphones, to capture the image and communicate with a remote server or data sources. Facial data is sent to the remote server processing facial recognition processing to match the facial data with an identity. Upon determining a match, information about the matching identity is transmitted to the user of the portable computing device. The information about the subject may be the identity, or business or social information, or interests and hobbies. A score may be assigned to the subject that rates one or more aspects of the subject.

Abstract: A cleaning device for cleaning a plumbing fixture with a solution comprises a vessel, bristles at the bottom of the vessel that extend into the vessel, and a retainer configured to retain the vessel in a working position. The retainer may be a drawstring with a stop to secure the drawstring. The retainer may retain the vessel in the working position by sufficiently narrowing the opening defined by the vessel. In use, the vessel surrounds the fixture and the bristles lie adjacent to the fixture. The vessel holds the cleaning solution to thereby at least partially submerge the fixture in the cleaning solution. The bristles may be used to scrub the fixture.

Abstract: A case for a portable electronic device includes a base plate, a device securing mechanism operable to hold the electronic device adjacent to the base plate, and a stretchable strap connected to the base plate. The strap is biased toward a rest position, wherein the strap lies substantially flush with the base plate. The strap is configured to be stretchable between the rest position and a stretched position away from the back of the base plate to allow a user's hand or other item to be placed between the strap and the case.

Abstract: A system for adjusting the length of a sandal strap comprising a receiving member attached to a sandal strap at or near the end of the sandal strap, a tightening member that extends up into the hole through the sole of the sandal to engage the receiving member, wherein the length of the sandal strap can be adjusted by actuating the tightening member.

Abstract: A dustpan comprising a dustpan body having a collection area to hold debris swept into the dustpan and a front edge, a thin plate attached to the underside of the dustpan body at the front edge so that it forms a sharp leading edge of the dustpan, and a plurality of teeth spaced along the front edge of the dustpan, forming a protective comb over the sharp leading edge of the dustpan.

Abstract: An exercise device comprising a wrist band that can be secured to a user's wrist and a clearly marked indicator region on the inside portion of the wrist band, wherein the indicator region is approximately between 0.5 and 1.5 inches wide and is generally aligned with the point where the user's thumb and index finger meet. The wrist band may be part of a glove, and may be attached to the palm area of the glove and positioned such that it extends between the thumb and index finger of the user. The resistance band may secured to a point in the center of the user's back between the shoulder blades. A method of performing a resistance exercise wherein a user grasps one end of a resistance band in the palm of the user's hand such that the resistance band extends between the thumb and index finger of the user, across the user's arm below the shoulder, across the user's shoulder blade, and is secured to a point in the center of the user's back between the shoulder blades.
