  • Publication number: 20200005352
Abstract: A promotion system for determining a deficiency in promotion data and correcting for the deficiency is disclosed. Issuing offers from a promotion program results in promotion data being generated. The promotion data may be analyzed to determine an acceptance rate of the offers. The promotion system may compare whether the acceptance rate is above a predetermined threshold, but has a confidence level that is less than a confidence rate threshold. In that event, the promotion system may issue additional offers in order to increase the confidence level associated with the acceptance rate by a predetermined amount.

  • Patent number: 10498212
Abstract: A gate drive circuit arranged to receive an input signal and provide an output signal to drive a gate of a transistor is presented. The gate drive circuit comprises a filter circuit arranged to attenuate a frequency band from the input signal when deriving the output signal from the input signal. The filter circuit contains programmable resistive elements, comprising: a first programmable resistive element arranged to adjust a low frequency gain and bandwidth of the gate drive circuit; a second programmable resistive element arranged to adjust a high frequency gain of the gate drive circuit; and a pair of programmable resistive elements arranged to adjust a driving gain of the gate drive circuit. A method of receiving an input signal and deriving an output signal from an input signal is also presented. The step of deriving an output signal comprises attenuating a frequency band from the input signal.

  • Patent number: 10430824
Abstract: In a promotion offering system, a promotion offering may be presented to a consumer on more than one occasion. The previous presentation of the promotion to the consumer may affect a subsequent presentation of the same promotion to the same consumer. The present invention provides an apparatus and method for analyzing the effect a previous presentation of a promotion may have on a consumer when the promotion is presented to the consumer at a subsequent time.

  • Patent number: 10372740
Abstract: A system and method includes obtaining activity data of an online social networking system, the activity data including duration data indicative of a duration in which at least some of the content items has previously been displayed on other feeds of members of the online social networking system and interactions with the content items by the members. For each of the content items, a probability score of the member to interact with the content item is determined by applying a logistic regression model to the duration data and the interactions to determine, at least in part, a probability score of the member to interact with the content item and the feed is generated with at least some of the content items having an order based on the probability score for each of the at least some content items.

  • Patent number: 10346870
Abstract: A promotion program analytical system and method is disclosed. The promotion program analytical system and method selects a promotion program to offer to a consumer. Selection of the promotion program to present to the consumer includes determining a probability that the consumer will accept the promotion program. The probability of acceptance may be determined based on past performance data of similar promotion programs, and also past performance data on the promotion program itself when it is available.

  • Publication number: 20180202773
Abstract: Implementations of conductive energy weapons (CEWs) may include a shock generating circuit configured to couple to a power source, two electrodes operatively coupled to the shock generating circuit, and a safety circuit operatively coupled to the shock generating circuit. The shock generating circuit may be configured to generate a first pulse train and deliver the first pulse train to a target, and may be configured to generate at least a second pulse train and deliver the at least second pulse train to a target. The safety circuit may be configured to prevent the CEW from applying pulse trains to the target after a predetermined number of pulse trains. The first pulse train may include two or more pulses having waveforms substantially identical with each other, each of the waveforms of the two or more pulses having both a positive voltage segment and a negative voltage segment.

  • Publication number: 20180075542
Abstract: A graph is constructing using a user node of a user and a set of connection nodes corresponding to connections in a social network of the user. The graph is overlaid on a risk map, which is a mapping of a geo-social risk characteristic of a geographical area. A first and a second risk indices are determined for a first and a second connection in the set of connections. Using the risk map, a first and a second risk diffusion boundary of the first and the second risk index are computed. When the first risk diffusion boundary includes the user node, a first risk contribution from the first connection node to the user node is computed using the first risk index. Using the first risk contribution, a risk index of the user is determined to accounts for a risk attributable to the user due to the user's social network.

  • Patent number: 9881330
Abstract: A system, a method, and a user interface are described for personalizing and sending stationery/cards. A reminder list on the user interface includes a list of reminder entries each identifying an upcoming event including events generated based on a specified relationship between the user and one or more contacts of the user. A recommendation region is populated one or more recommended stationery/card designs associated with one of the entries in the reminder list. A stationery/card personalization engine provides the user with a set of personalization options related to the selected stationery/card design, and generates personalized stationery based on the selected stationery/card design and the user input.

  • Publication number: 20170228349
Abstract: A news feed system provided with an on-line social network system determines that a news feed is to be constructed for a viewer. The news feed system accesses the viewer's profile and other information associated with the viewer, accesses an inventory of activities that have been identified as potentially of interest to the viewer, and calculates relevance score for each item inventory of activities using the combined predictions methodology. The activities are then arranged for presentation to the viewer via a news feed web page, using respective calculated relevance scores.
