  • Publication number: 20070154322
Abstract: A pumping system for moving water of a swimming pool includes a water pump, a variable speed motor, and an arrangement for controlling the variable speed motor. The pumping system further includes an auxiliary device operably connected to the arrangement for controlling, and an arrangement for providing two-way communication between the arrangement for controlling and the auxiliary device. The arrangement for controlling is capable of receiving a parameter from the auxiliary device through the arrangement for providing two-way communication. In one example, the arrangement for controlling is capable of independently controlling the variable speed motor without receipt of a parameter from the auxiliary device. In addition or alternatively, the arrangement for controlling is operable to selectively alter operation of the motor based upon the parameter.

  • Patent number: 7237541
Abstract: An intake assembly includes an intake manifold comprising several interfitting sections attached to each other to define a plurality of air passages, and an EGR conduit within the intake manifold including openings in communication with each of the plurality of air passages. The EGR conduit is in communication with a source of exhaust gases and provides for the proximate and decentralized injection of exhaust gases into the intake manifold assembly. The intake manifold assembly also includes a passage that is in communication with a positive crankcase ventilation system (PCV) and a purge gas system. Gases from the PCV system and the gas purge system mix in the passage and then are communicated to the each of the air passages through individual opening passages.

  • Publication number: 20070114162
Abstract: A pumping system includes a pump for moving water. In one aspect, this is in connection with performance of an operation. The system includes a variable speed motor operatively connected to drive the pump. A value indicative of flow rate of water is determined and the motor is controlled to adjust the flow rate indicative value toward a constant. A value indicative of flow pressure is determined and the motor is controlled to adjust the flow pressure indicative value toward a constant. A selection is made between flow rate control and flow pressure control. In another aspect, the pump is controlled to perform a first operation, and is operated to perform a second water operation. Control of operation of the pump to perform the first water operation is altered in response to operation of the pump to perform the second operation.

  • Publication number: 20070007030
Abstract: The invention is an outdoor electrical cord connection protector. A pair of mated covers is at least partially hinged along a common access. Each mated cover provides a snap together wire entrance at one end and a wire exit at the other end of the snap together covers. Each wire entrance and wire exit opens to a snap together plug opening adapted to hold at least two mated plugs of an outdoor string of decorative lights. A seal can be affixed to each of the entrances of the protector. The seals help keep the protector water tight and well as protect against other environmental hazards such as dirt, bugs, etc.

  • Patent number: 7162706
Abstract: A method for analyzing and validating clock integration properties in a circuit design is disclosed. A database of timing points that are clocked cell elements of the circuit design is generated. Next, a timing point frame showing the interaction of the clocked cell elements and the non-clocked cell elements is generated. The timing point frame graphically shows the timing network properties for the cell elements of the circuit design. A clock analysis view can be generated from the timing point frame for selected timing points. In this respect, the timing point frame shows timing points that meet a prescribed criteria (e.g., same clock domain). Therefore, the clock analysis view provides a graphical representation of timing and clock interactions for the circuit design.

  • Publication number: 20060265891
Abstract: A torpedo level is adapted for use with a non-metallic material such as PVC pipe by providing an attachment device for temporarily affixing the torpedo level in engaging relationship with the plastic pipe without any attendance. In one embodiment, the affixing device is an attachment strip extending along a planar side of the torpedo level and having an adhesive material on its outer side. A cover is adapted to protect the adhesive material when not in use. Another attachment device is a plurality of suction cups which are secured to the planar side and temporarily attachable to a plastic pipe. Another alternative is one or more Velcro straps which are attached to the body of the torpedo level by way of slots formed therein and which are selectably wrapped around a pipe for securing the torpedo level thereto.

  • Publication number: 20060085334
Abstract: Financial liabilities are dynamically managed by receiving liability information relating to a client associated with multiple financial liabilities. Each financial liability is associated with a respective interest rate. A payment is allocated among the financial liabilities, for example, as a function of the interest rates associated with the financial liabilities. When a change in a financial liability occurs, the allocation of the payment is adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6937229
Abstract: A keycap is used to display a plurality of indicia, such as Braille, pictures, etc., for use with a keyboard that interacts with an electronic device, such as a computer. The keycap includes at least one engagement member, for removably engaging with at least one activation key on a keyboard, and at least a first support structure for displaying the indicia. The first support structure is larger in at least one direction than the activation key and allows the keycap to display the indicia in a sufficiently large size to allow the keycap to display, for example, phrases, sentences, musical notation, mathematical expressions, etc. This feature allows the keycap to be compatible with a large number of software programs used to teach, for example, disabled individuals. The keycap preferably is used with a removable overlay containing the plurality of indicia that allows the keycap to be easily configured to the user's needs or the requirements of the software program.

The sleeve has a tapered body such that the cross-sectional area of the gap increases from the first end to the second end of the sleeve. A first seal is positioned between the sleeve and the intake manifold housing and a second seal is positioned between the sleeve and the intake manifold. Grooves are formed within the exterior surface of the tube to receive the seals.
