  • Publication number: 20240096191
Abstract: Described are techniques for corroborating anomalous behavior. The techniques include training devices included in an Internet of Things (IoT) mesh network to independently identify occurrences of anomalous behavior in a proximate physical environment. The techniques further include receiving event data from at least a portion of the devices in the IoT mesh network corresponding to a time window, where the event data reports occurrences of at least one type of anomalous behavior. The techniques further include corroborating the at least one type of anomalous behavior to determine that the occurrences of the at least one type of anomalous behavior indicate an anomalous event that meets a reporting threshold for providing notice of the anomalous event. The techniques further include generating a notification regarding the anomalous event.

  • Patent number: 11932122
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a motor of a vehicle system monitor operating conditions of the vehicle system and determine whether the operating conditions of the vehicle system match designated operating conditions. Responsive to determining that the operating conditions of the vehicle system that are monitored match the designated operating conditions, an electrical signature representative of an electric current supplied to the motor of the vehicle system is examined and damage to one or more of the motor of the vehicle system or a mechanical coupling of the motor to one or more of a wheel or axle of the vehicle system is identified based on the electrical signature that is examined.

  • Patent number: 11934262
Abstract: Techniques are provided for remote object store error handling. A storage system may store data within one or more tiers of storage, such as a local storage tier (e.g., solid state storage and disks maintained by the storage system), a remote object store (e.g., storage provided by a third party storage provider), and/or other storage tiers. Because the remote object store may not provide the same data consistency and guarantees that the storage system provides for clients such as through the local storage tier, additional validation is provided by the storage system for the remote object store. For example, when data is put into an object of the remote object store, a verification get operation is performed to read and validate information within a header of the object. Other verifications and checks are performed such as using a locally stored metafile to detect corrupt or lost metadata and/or objects.

  • Publication number: 20240086579
Abstract: Key capability storage circuitry 90 is provided to store a key capability specifying key bounds indicating information indicative of permissible bounds for information specified by any one or more of: a non-capability operand, a capability, or the key capability itself. For a given software compartment executed by the processing circuitry, which lacks a key capability operating privilege associated with at least a portion of the key capability storage circuitry, the processing circuitry is configured to prohibit certain manipulations of the key capability, including a transfer between key capability storage and a memory location selected by the given software compartment. This can help to support temporal safety.

  • Patent number: 11928744
Abstract: A service engine determines whether there is a potential lack of transaction tax compliance in a plurality of jurisdictions for a plurality of entities. The service engine generates and/or transmits tax compliance data which may include information about potential lack of tax compliance of an entity in various jurisdictions based on rules about establishing nexus for purposes of remitting transaction tax in the jurisdictions. The tax compliance data may include a notification about the generation of the information, such as a notification to the entity that there exists a potential lack of tax compliance of that entity in specific jurisdictions. The service engine may update the tax compliance data dynamically and send corresponding notifications, automatically in real time or near real time for the applicable entity as sales of the entity change and/or rules for establishing nexus change for various jurisdictions.

  • Patent number: 11914853
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for configuring automatic playback settings on a media playback device. A graphical user interface displays automatic playback settings and receives selections of customized settings for automatic playback. The settings can include context granularity for automatic playback, limiting autoplay to when the media playback device is connected to a wireless network, and activating an audible notification when automatic playback of media content is beginning. An initial queue of media content is selected for playback on the media playback device. The system ascertains whether autoplay is enabled for a particular situation. If autoplay is enabled, the system automatically generates a queue of media that is related to the initial queue and initiates playback on the media playback device after the initial queue concludes.

  • Patent number: 11906170
Abstract: An integrated magnetic catch used to hold a horizontal hinged oven door open at a selected set partially open position. A pin is used to hold the two plates together and acts as a pivot point. Attached to a stationary plate is a bracket that houses a magnet. This bracket is formed having a preset angle that correlates with the degree that the door is to be opened. When the rotating hinge makes contact with the bracket, the magnetic force holds the door open at a selected angle.

  • Publication number: 20240022001
Abstract: Described herein is a waveguide that is configured to be soldered to a printed circuit board (PCB) via one or more metallic portions disposed thereon. Additionally, the waveguide may have solder disposed within thru holes that is configured to conduct heat from one or more components of the PCB when the waveguide is mounted to the PCB. Also described herein is an assembly comprising the waveguide soldered to the PCB via solder between the metallic portions of the waveguide and metallic portions of the PCB. Techniques for producing the waveguide and the assembly are also described herein. By soldering the waveguide to the PCB, an inexpensive, precise, and secure mechanical bonding may be achieved while electrically sealing features of the waveguide and/or components of the PCB. Furthermore, the solder within the thru holes allows for better heat conduction through the waveguide.

  • Publication number: 20230400903
Abstract: A system transports and deploys of Internet of Battlefield Things (IoBT) sensors. A transportation rail has a first dovetail engagement accepting a respective second dovetail engagement of each IoBT sensor. A charging carrier has third dovetail engagements each accepting a respective fourth dovetail engagement of a battery. The charging carrier charges the batteries during transport. A respective fifth dovetail engagement of each IoBT sensor also accepts the respective fourth dovetail engagement of each battery. The battery powers the IoBT sensor during deployment. A method transports and deploys IoBT sensors. The IoBT sensors on the transportation rail are transported together with the batteries on the charging carrier, with the charging carrier charging the batteries. An IoBT sensor is dispensed from the transportation rail, and a battery is dispensed from the charging carrier. The IoBT sensor joined with the battery is deployed, with the battery powering the IoBT sensor during deployment.

  • Patent number: 11781469
Abstract: An insert device includes a body having an upper body portion configured to couple with a cylinder head of an engine cylinder and a lower body portion extending from the upper body portion toward a combustion chamber of the engine cylinder. The body includes an interior surface extending around a central volume positioned to receive liquid fuel from a fuel injector. The body includes gas inlet channels and fuel-and-gas mixture outlet channels. The gas inlet channels direct gas into the central volume where the gas mixes with the liquid fuel to form the fuel-and-gas mixture. The fuel-and-gas mixture outlet channels direct the mixture into the combustion chamber. The interior surface includes concave surface portions between the inlet channels and the outlet channels along a center axis of the body that are shaped to direct the gas into the central volume toward the liquid fuel in the central volume.
