  • Publication number: 20220193661
Abstract: An embodiment of a system includes a compartment-generating device, a compartment detector, and electronic computing circuitry. The device is configured to generate compartments of a digital assay, at least one of the compartments having a respective volume that is different from a respective volume of each of at least another one of the compartments. The detector is configured to determine a number of the compartments each having a respective number of a target that is greater than a threshold number of the target. And the electronic circuitry is configured to determine a bulk concentration of the target in a source of the sample in response to the determined number of compartments. Because such a system can be configured to estimate a bulk concentration of a target in a source from a polydisperse digital assay, the system can be portable, and lower-cost and faster, than conventional systems.

  • Publication number: 20220179039
Abstract: This document describes facia, including parts of vehicles, for supporting an ultra-wide radar field-of-view, for example, in automotive contexts. The facia is configured as a radome for supporting an ultra-wide field-of-view with an antenna despite the facia obstructing a field of view. The facia has one exterior surface or interior surface this is a mostly smooth or has a pattern of hemispherical indentations or domes that are configured to reduce reflections off that surface and increase light transmission through the facia. The other of the exterior or interior surface, has a pattern of hemispherical indentations or domes that are configured to reduce reflections off that surface and further increase light transmission through the facia.

  • Patent number: 11355242
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to medical treatment management. Medical data associated with a user is received. A medical condition of the user is identified based on the medical data. Object data of a plurality of objects in a vicinity of the user is received. The object data is analyzed to determine an identity and characteristics of each object of the plurality of objects. The plurality of objects are compared to medical tools in a medical database using the characteristics within the object data. A subset of objects matching to respective medical tools are then identified. A medical procedure utilizing at least one object of the subset of objects to address the medical condition is identified. A recommendation is then transmitted that the medical procedure should be used to address the medical condition using the at least one object.

  • Patent number: 11257595
Abstract: A low-power platform senses an environment around the platform. The platform includes sensor interfaces, a multiplexer, a dual port memory, a processor, and a radio. The similar sensor interfaces are for attaching environmental sensors. The multiplexer combines the environmental data from the attached environmental sensors into a single stream. The dual port memory temporarily stores the stream. The processor intermittently retrieves the stream from the dual port memory. The radio forwards the stream toward a central system. Each interface includes a mechanical interlock for attaching a respective environmental sensor and an electrical interlock for detecting whether the mechanical interlock engages the environmental sensor. Each interface transfers peripheral power and environmental data for the respective environmental sensor.
