  • Publication number: 20220041422
Abstract: A paint can cap remover system and method is provided. The system includes a cap remover and a leverage element. The cap remover and leverage element are either a single unitary item or two separate items. The cap remover includes a main body portion with thumb tabs and a receiving edge. The receiving edge is configured to engage with the cap of a paint can, while the thumb tabs are configured to engage with a paint can cap and translate leveraging forces into rotational movement to assist in dislodging and removing the paint cap. The leverage element includes a handle portion and a connecting portion. The handle portion provides a surface or handle for a user to apply leveraging forces to the leverage element. The connecting portion interfaces with the cap remover to transfer forces applied to the leverage element.

  • Patent number: 11241117
Abstract: A heat retentive server includes a chamber defined between an upper shell and a lower shell that are connected to one another. An induction-heatable member is positioned in the chamber, and the induction-heatable member may be heated by electromagnetic induction to a first temperature that is greater than the heat deflection temperature of the upper shell. Buffering material comprising an inhibitively conductive hydrophobic material is positioned in the chamber between the induction-heatable member and the upper shell, and the buffering material is adapted for providing predetermined conductive heat transfer from the induction-heatable member to the upper shell so that at least a portion of the upper shell is heated to a second temperature that is greater than the heat deflection temperature of the upper shell. The second temperature is less than the first temperature.

  • Patent number: 10967848
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle powertrain, where the driveline includes an electric machine downstream of a dual clutch transmission, which is downstream of an engine. In one example, a method comprises communicating from a transmission, a torque to accelerate transmission components from a first speed to a second speed with first and second clutches of a dual transmission open, the communicating performed while an electric machine coupled to the dual clutch transmission at a location downstream of the dual clutch transmission is providing torque to propel a vehicle. In this way, wheel speed may remain substantially constant while the transmission is shifted and the engine is stopped.

  • Patent number: 10960882
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for providing off-road capabilities in electric vehicles with a single gear reduction. In one example, when a 4×4 mode is selected in an electric vehicle, a relationship between motor torque and accelerator pedal position is changed so as to increase the vehicle creep wheel torque. A degree of increase of the creep wheel torque is adjusted as a function of the terrain on which the vehicle is off-roading.
