Abstract: A system for removing an electronic wallet application from a mobile electronic device is provided. The system comprises a first server executing an authentication, authorization, and accounting application and a second server executing a trusted service manager application. The first server grants data network access to the mobile electronic device when a special pass has been provisioned to the first server, wherein the special pass is associated with the mobile electronic device. The second server sends the special pass associated with the mobile electronic device to the first server in response to a triggering event, establishes a data communication session with the mobile electronic device, and sends instructions to the mobile electronic device to remove the electronic wallet application from the mobile electronic device, wherein the establishment of the data communication session is mediated by the authentication, authorization, and accounting application.

Abstract: A point-of-sale terminal comprises a contactless communication transceiver configured to receive an emission containing confidential information from a portable electronic device, and an enclosure having an aperture to promote at least partial insertion of the portable electronic device. The enclosure is constructed to promote substantially confining the emission within the enclosure to reduce eavesdropping on the confidential information while promoting the transceiver receiving the emission.

Abstract: A method of provisioning confidential information to a target device is provided. The method comprises a mobile device wirelessly transmitting using a public land mobile network a message to request confidential information, wherein the confidential information is associated with at least one of a credit card, a transit card, a transit token, an electronic coupon, a loyalty program access code, an access badge, and an access code. The method also comprises the mobile device wirelessly receiving the confidential information from the public land mobile network and transmitting the confidential information using near field communication technology to the target device. The method also comprises the target device receiving the confidential information using near field communication technology and storing the confidential information.

Abstract: A system is provided for intelligent handset remote control. The system includes a processor on a handset and a remote control component. When executed by the processor, the remote control component stores a list of media network providers, determines a location associated with the handset, retrieves an index associated with a media presentation device based on the location, and maps each of the media network providers in the list with at most one entry in the index. The remote control component also presents the list of media network providers to a user interface for the handset as a list of selectable inputs, receives a selection of one of the list of selectable inputs via the user interface, and transmits a command to the media presentation device to present media based on an entry in the index that corresponds to the selection.

Abstract: A method of preventing identity theft is provided. The method comprises reading confidential information from a mobile terminal that is not in communication with the public wireless communication network and determining if the mobile terminal has been reported lost. When the mobile terminal is determined to have been reported lost, the release of the confidential information by the mobile terminal is disabled.

Abstract: A portable electronic device is disclosed. The portable electronic device comprises a contactless communication transceiver configured to provide payment information to a point-of-sale terminal, a first input device configured to receive inputs, and a processor. The first input device is selected from the group consisting of an accelerometer, a microphone, a camera, and a biometric sensor. The processor is configured to activate an electronic wallet based on inputs from at least one of the first input device and the contactless communication transceiver, to access the payment information in the electronic wallet, and to provide the payment information to the contactless communication transceiver.

An originating short range wireless technology enabled device wirelessly communicates a first portion of content to a destination short range wireless technology enabled device along with location information that enables retrieval of a remaining portion of the content from a back office location. The destination short range wireless technology enabled device processes the first portion of content. The remaining portion of the content may be retrieved for processing by the destination short range wireless technology enabled device before the completion of processing of the first portion of content.

Abstract: A system is provided for confirming certification of combinations of secure elements and mobile devices. The system includes secure element data and a secure element component on a removable secure element. The secure element component detects insertion of the removable secure element in a mobile device, retrieves the secure element data, and retrieves mobile device data from the mobile device. The secure element component determines whether a combination of the removable secure element and the mobile device is certified based on a comparison of the secure element data and the mobile device data. The secure element component provides a certification alert via a user interface on the mobile device in response to a determination that the combination of the removable secure element and the mobile device is not certified.

Based on the identification information and a transit system route map, the application presents a notification on the mobile electronic device that the identification information does not agree with the transit destination.

Abstract: A method for point-of-sale transactions is disclosed. The method comprises a point-of-sale terminal receiving a confidential information from a portable electronic device over a contactless communication link, the confidential information being used by the point-of-sale terminal to complete the transaction. The method also includes substantially blocking access to the contactless communication link beyond the area adjacent to the point-of-sale terminal to reduce eavesdropping on the confidential information.

Abstract: A system for provisioning a secure element on a mobile device is provided. The system comprises a first trusted service manager associated with a credit card, a second trusted service manager associated with a wireless service provider, and a mobile device. The mobile device has a secure element to hold the credit card and an over-the-air client to communicate wirelessly with the first trusted service manager and the second trusted service manager. When the second trusted service manager receives a message from the first trusted service manager to provision a personalization information for the credit card to the mobile device, the second trusted service manager transmits to the over-the-air client a message to initiate transfer of the personalization information for the credit card.

The portable device includes a user interface for a user to maintain rules for selection of one or more virtual cards based on the context of the transaction. The portable device also includes a processor to process the rules and select at least one of the virtual cards based on the context of the transaction.
