The method comprises receiving a transit card state correction input and storing a transit card state correction record based on receiving the transit card state correction input. The method also comprises changing the transit card state in response to receiving the transit card state correction input. The method also comprises providing transit card information including the transit card state correction record to a exit fare gate to support electronic payment with a transit card.

Abstract: A method for method of initializing an electronic lock is disclosed. The method comprises a point-of-sale terminal reading electronic lock identification information from the electronic lock and the point-of-sale terminal receiving confidential information from a mobile electronic device. The method also comprises an inventory control system that is coupled to the point-of-sale terminal and that transmits an electronic lock registration message, wherein the registration message contains at least some of the confidential information and at least some of the identification information. When the inventory control system receives an electronic access code in response to the electronic lock registration message, the point-of-sale terminal transmits the electronic access code to the mobile electronic device. The electronic access code is operable to lock and unlock the electronic lock when transmitted, using near-field-communication technology, to the electronic lock.

Abstract: A system for over-the-air provisioning is disclosed. The system comprises a processor and an over-the-air server application. The over-the-air server application, when executed by the processor, is configured to begin an over-the-air provisioning session, to request a log of an over-the-air client, to receive the log, to send a first plurality of action requests to the over-the-air client based on the log, to receive acknowledgments of the action request, to stop the over-the-air provisioning session when an acknowledgment is not received within a first time period, and to restart the over-the-air provisioning session after waiting a second time period when the over-the-air provisioning session has been stopped, wherein the first plurality of action requests comprise a first task.

Abstract: A system for provisioning a secure element on a mobile device is provided. The system comprises a first trusted service manager associated with a credit card, a second trusted service manager associated with a wireless service provider, and a mobile device. The mobile device has a secure element to hold the credit card and an over-the-air client to communicate wirelessly with the first trusted service manager and the second trusted service manager. When the second trusted service manager receives a message from the first trusted service manager to provision a personalization information for the credit card to the mobile device, the second trusted service manager transmits to the over-the-air client a message to initiate transfer of the personalization information for the credit card.

Abstract: A method of data transfer using short range technology. An originating short range wireless technology enabled device wirelessly communicates a first portion of content to a destination short range wireless technology enabled device along with location information that enables retrieval of a remaining portion of the content from a back office location. The destination short range wireless technology enabled device processes the first portion of content. The remaining portion of the content may be retrieved for processing by the destination short range wireless technology enabled device before the completion of processing of the first portion of content.

Abstract: A mobile device having a time controlled electronic wallet is disclosed. The mobile device comprises a processor and an electronic wallet application that executes on the processor. The electronic wallet application enters a ready-to-pay mode, initiates a ready-to-pay timer when entering the ready-to-pay mode, transmits the confidential information when in the ready-to-pay mode based on receiving contactless communication, and leaves the ready-to-pay mode when the ready-to-pay timer expires.

Abstract: According to particular embodiments, determining paths in a network with asymmetric switches includes receiving a graph representing the network. Each asymmetric switch has defined degree connectivity between one or more pairs of degrees of the asymmetric switch. The graph is transformed to yield a transformed graph that accounts for the asymmetric switches. A routing process is applied to the transformed graph to yield one or more paths through the network.

Abstract: A system is provided for customer care intelligent routing. The system includes a mobile device and a server. The mobile device includes a transaction component and an error manager. The error manager determines that an error occurred during a point-of-sale transaction involving the transaction component and promotes the transmitting of transaction data to the server. The server determines a provider related to the error, and promotes the routing of the transaction data to the related provider.

Abstract: An electronic transit fare payment system is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of mobile devices adapted to store a transit fare payment application and a server in wireless communication with the mobile devices. The transit fare payment application decrements a transit fare funds balance by a fare amount after completing a transit ride, wirelessly requests a top-up of the transit funds balance when the transit funds balance drops below a threshold, wirelessly receives a top-up instruction, increments the transit fare funds balance in response to executing the top-up instruction, and wirelessly transmits a top-up confirmation. The server receives the request for the top-up, charges the top-up to a credit card associated with the mobile device requesting the top-up, transmits the top-up instruction to the mobile device requesting the top-up, receives the top-up confirmation. When the top-up confirmation is not received, the server requests top-up confirmation from the mobile device.

Abstract: A method of a portable electronic device providing payment from an electronic wallet is provided. The method comprises prompting for input of a personal identification number (PIN) after the wallet has been opened and providing payment from the wallet after receiving the PIN, when the wallet is configured to a first level of security. The method also comprises providing payment from the wallet after the wallet has been opened, when the wallet is configured to a second level of wallet security, wherein the PIN is not contemporaneously input.
