The method includes: fixing a positioning of a disc by using magnetic attraction between a first magnet installed on the disc and a second magnet installed on a feeding unit; minimizing a difference between the positionings of the first and second magnets; and obtaining an image of an analysis or test result object of the disc.

The system controller transmits the operation state information request signal to the interface and generates a failure information file using the operation state information when the operation state information is received from the interface. The failure type diagnosis unit analyzes the failure information file generated by the system controller to diagnose the type of failure of the disc drive. The output unit outputs the result of the diagnosis of the type of failure under the control of the system controller.

The flash memory includes a first boot zone, where a booting program is stored, a second boot zone, where a backup of the booting program is stored, and a data zone, where an executable and downloaded firmware program is stored, wherein the corresponding booting program in either of the first or second boot zones which has no error is executed when an error is detected in the alternate first or second boot zone. Accordingly, it is possible to restore a flash memory damaged due to some external cause to its original state, thereby reducing costs for replacement of the damaged flash memory.
