  • Patent number: 6045739
Abstract: A method of eliminating difficulties in holding inserts at the time of molding, and for ensuring the inserts at predetermined positions is provided. According to this method, the edges of the inserts are alternately arranged in a stair-like state. These edges are held by a stair-like holding portion formed by an upper metal mold and a slide metal mold, and/or a lower metal mold and another slide metal mold, so that they can be secured at predetermined positions. Thereafter, resin is injected into the cavity formed inside the metal molds.

  • Patent number: 5997362
Abstract: Upper and lower connector housings are respectively formed substantially in a box shape having upper and lower walls. The upper and lower connector housings are connected to each other by overlapping an upper wall of the lower connector housing and a lower wall of the upper connector housing in an opposing state. Engaging holes are respectively formed on the lower wall of the upper connector housing and the upper wall of the lower connector housing. The engaging hole of the upper connector housing is closed by the upper wall of the lower connector housing. The engaging hole of the lower connector housing is closed by the lower wall of the upper connector housing. • Patent number: 5765281
Abstract: A method of producing a press-connecting connector, in which even if the insert molding is effected by pouring a non-electrically conductive material while supporting press-connecting terminals by a fixing pin within a mold, an exposed portion, resulting from the trace of the fixing pin, is covered with the non-electrically conductive material. In the press-connecting connector, press-connecting terminals for press-connecting sheathed wires are positioned by a fixing pin provided in a mold, and are insert-molded in a non-electrically conductive material. An exposed portion, formed by the fixing pin at the bottom of the press-connecting terminals, is closed by pressing and fusing a plurality of hole closure pieces, molded at the same time, together. Therefore, the efficiency of the operation is enhanced, and also the production cost can be reduced, and the highly-reliable press-connecting connector can be obtained.

Inner end portions (13) and (14) of the press-connecting blades (11) and (12) are disposed in a common plane, and the inner end portions (13) and (14) are held by intermediate walls (8) formed integrally on the connector body. A thickness of the intermediate wall is substantially equal to a width of the inner end portions (13) and (14). The distance between a side wall (7) of the connector body and the intermediate wall (8) is substantially equal to an outer diameter of the sheathed wire. Outer end portions of the press-connecting blades are embedded in the opposite side walls of the connector body, respectively.
