    Abstract: A method for making plastic case blanks is disclosed. A molten plastic material is passed through a nip of a first, preforming pair of molding cylinders to form a semi-solidified sheet having a first thickness, The semi-solidified sheet is then molded to form a final sheet having a second, uniform thickness less than the first thickness and the final sheet is scored to form folding scores and cut to form a plurality of the blanks. The molding, scoring and cutting are simultaneously performed by passing the semi-solidified sheet through a nip of a second pair of cylinders. One of the second pair of cylinders has scoring means for forming the folding scores in the final sheet and cutting means for cutting the final sheet to form the plurality of the blanks and the other of the second pair of cylinders has recess means complementary to the cutting means for receiving the cutting means and effectuating the cutting.

Preferably, the spacing between adjacent crests or between adjacent high portions and low portions of the unevenness varies in a non-periodic manner.

They have a plurality of irregularly shaped apertures or positioning apertures each which receive posts formed in one piece with the upper and lower half housing sections of the cassette and are fixed in position with the posts by caulking. The guide block has portions with which to press the thick spacer plate members securely against the respective half housing sections of the cassette.

The inside layers are formed with steps along the edges of the side frame members and the rear frame member, and the outside layers are so formed as to fall onto the steps and extend inwardly of the edges of the side frame members. The main body and side frame members are formed with mutually engageable, temporary fasteners. The outer surface of the outside layer is satin crape finished and at least the interface between the inside and outside layers mirror finished.
