    Abstract: An ink jet device for recording colored images comprises a plurality of nozzles for producing differently colored ink jets which are directed on to a common point in the plane of a recording support; a control electrode, an extraction system for removing the ink deflected and hence not used for recording and an aperture diaphragm being associated with each of the nozzles; the control electrodes, extraction systems and diaphragms being combined into a block; the control electrodes being electrically insulated with respect to each other and with respect to earth and the nozzles being at electrical earth potential.
