  • Publication number: 20070044922
Abstract: Tools for compacting composite parts are disclosed. These tools are used while layers of composite material, such as tows or laminae, are being deposited onto a fabricating surface, such as a mold or other forming tool. The compacting tool is typically divided into a series of narrow segments, each segment able to advance or retreat individually so as to conform to the surface of a composite part being formed. Pressurized fluid, such as air or hydraulic fluid, or non-pressurized internal bladders with incompressible fluid, are used to evenly apply pressure to the segments in order to compact the material with which the tool and the segments are in contact. The compacting tool thus helps eliminate voids and helps the material conform to the desired shape on the forming tool.

  • Publication number: 20070041357
Abstract: According to the invention, on carrying out the configuration of connections in a hybrid network, comprising PSTN and IN networks, messages generated in the PSTN network are transformed into IN network messages before a decentralised interruption of the connections in the IN network occurs by deactivation of the unidirectional transmitter at the end of the connections and before the type of the configuration makes activation of the transmitter in the IN network necessary. The performance features 3PTY and CONF of the PSTN network can advantageously also be provided for interworking with IN networks, such that no useful information is transmitted in the IN networks so long as a connection in a conference is isolated.

  • Publication number: 20070008963
Abstract: Method to protect against manipulated charging signaling data in IMS networks In the prior art CDR tickets are exchanged between devices/functionalities of an IMS system. This can result in manipulations. The invention reduces the likelihood of manipulation, in that the BGCF function of the IMS system is enhanced such that it accepts the charging-relevant signaling data as per TS 24.229 from the sender only if this was sent by the correct sender.

  • Patent number: 7092383
Abstract: A method for switching on a subscriber signal wherein a transmission path from a calling terminal device of a switched-through telecommunications network to a called terminal device of a packet transmission network is defined using a network transmission function. An alert message comes from the called terminal device end. When the alert message occurs, a following signaling message is generated which indicates that a subscriber signal has not yet been generated for the calling terminal device. The ringing tone is not switched on, and a standard signaling message is not generated, until the following signaling message has been processed.

  • Publication number: 20050237997
Abstract: In the prior art, a BICC or SIP-T protocol is used at the protocol between media gateway controllers. With the latter, the transmission of ISUP messages is explicitly provided with the aid of INFO methods but is problematic in that a portion of the ISUP messages such as USR or APM messages, during the transmission process, have to adhere to a very specific sequence that is necessary to follow during processing on the receive side. Adherence to the sequence, however, does not always occur since these SIP-T/SIP messages can take different paths thereby resulting in the possible occurrence of repetitions or even losses during the transmission process. The invention solves this problem in that a consecutive sequence number is given to these SIP-T/SIP messages by means of which the SIP/SIP-T partner side can reproduce a sequence that is corrupted during the transmission.

  • Publication number: 20050223113
Abstract: The invention relates to the switching off of echo compensations as a function of the useful data transmission time for a packet network. On changes to a packet network connection, for example with relation to a diversion or forwarding of speech connections, the useful data transmission time for the changed packet network connection is determined. Where the determined useful data transmission time falls below the threshold value, the switching off of the echo compensation is carried out. The invention permits the dynamic switching off of echo compensators which are no longer required, due to a reduced useful data transmission time.

  • Patent number: 6868974
Abstract: For increasing the capacity of a continuously operating sedimentation filtration device, the processing liquid to be cleaned is supplied before or adjacent to the filter body on opposed sides into the sedimentation container. Underneath the filter body, a comparatively high settling chamber is formed and between the filter body and the supply lines a separating plate is provided so that the processing liquid to be cleaned is guided mandatorily into the settling chamber. The cross-sections of the supply lines provided on opposed said are comparatively large so that only minimal flow velocities of the incoming medium will occur.

  • Publication number: 20050036492
Abstract: In the prior art, a bearer connection is redirected for SIP/SIP-T control units in the TALK state with the aid of the SIP/SIP-T message RE-INVITE. In the RINGING state, said SIP/SIP-T message is not permissible, however, which is why a redirect of the bearer connection cannot be carried out here. The invention solves this problem in that the redirecting SIP/SIP-T control unit requests control information about the exchange of SIP/SIP-T messages by the SIP/SIP-T control units of the new bearer connection that is to be redirected, and said information is made available to the other side, whereupon a new bearer connection is established between said SIP/SIP-T control units.

  • Publication number: 20050008030
Abstract: If TDM connections are through-connected from the originating TDM network to the target TDM network via a data network in the form of backbone, e.g. VoIP, the switchover between the TDM network and the data network takes place via media gateways. As is the case with connections exclusively between TDM, the coding algorithms of the A face and the B face have to be identical. In TDM networks, coding is done according to A Law and ? Law. When switching from an A Law network to a ? Law network, the coding specifications have to be converted. In order to carry out a conversion in a TDM environment, at the switchover point the ? Law face has to convert to A Law. The same applies to VoIP. The invention relates to the integration of this switchover conversion rule in the codec negotiation procedure so that in principle a ? Law A face offers ? Law and, alternatively, A-Law to the B face; a ? Law B face accepts ? Law whereas an A-Law B face acknowledges A-Law.

  • Publication number: 20040246907
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining the propagation delay in a packet-based network for a packet-based network section of a connection between terminals, at least sections of the connection being routed via the packet-based network. According to the inventive method, the broadcast relay in the packet-based network is determined for the packet-based network section of the connection and substantially half of the time period that has been determined for the broadcast relay is taken as a value for the propagation delay of the packet-based network section. The method permits the determination of the propagation delay in the packet-based network. This parameter can help, for example, to determine whether an echo compensation is required during a voice connection.
