  • Patent number: 12235232
Abstract: A gas sensor includes a gas detecting element that includes a first electrode, a metal oxide layer, and a second electrode; and a first insulating film that has an opening allowing the second electrode to be partially exposed therethrough and covers the first electrode, the metal oxide layer, and another part of the second electrode. The metal oxide layer has a characteristic where its resistance value changes as the second electrode makes contact with gas molecules including hydrogen atoms. A first step is provided at a portion lying on an interface between the metal oxide layer and the second electrode and located within the opening as viewed in plan view. A local region is provided in the metal oxide layer and near the first step. A degree of oxygen deficiency of the local region is greater than a degree of oxygen deficiency of other regions in the metal oxide layer.

  • Patent number: 9138835
Abstract: The X-ray processing device comprises a work table on which a processing object is placed, X-ray processors irradiating the processing object placed in a given processing zone on the work table with an X-ray for processing, a pressing member, and X-ray shielding sheets. The pressing member presses and collapses any remaining raised edges at the sides of the processing object. The X-ray shielding sheets are provided on the side of the pressing member that is closest to the processing zone and shield the X-ray from the X-ray processors.

  • Patent number: 8169715
Abstract: A variable focal length lens, as well as a focal length adjusting device and an imaging device using the same. A variable focal length lens has a lens, a positive electrode, and a negative electrode. A second layer and a first layer constituting the lens are formed from polyvinyl chloride with which a plasticizer has been mixed. The hardness of these layers is adjusted by adjusting the mixing quantity, plasticizer type, etc. The second layer is formed so as so cover at least a light transmission region of the first layer. When a voltage is applied between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, the second layer and first layer are deformed to be pulled to the positive electrode, and thereby the curvature of the variable focal length lens is varied to vary the focal length.

  • Publication number: 20100004783
Abstract: To make the most of characteristics of a device and a person and allow efficient handling even if a workpiece to be handled is changed when the device and the person perform operations in a shared area. The device 6 and the person 7 perform an assembling operation of a component to be assembled 3 to a vehicle body 2. When the assembling operation is classified into operations such as ejection of the component, conveyance, positioning, and mounting/fastening, a pattern 1 in which all the operations are performed by the device 6, and patterns 2 to 4 in which part of the operations are performed by only the person 7 or by the person and the device in collaboration and the remaining operations are performed by the device 6 are preset, and the patterns are switched according to the type of the component to be assembled 3 so as to make the most of high power of the device 6 and good judgment of the person 7 even if the type of the component to be assembled 3 is changed.

  • Publication number: 20090303613
Abstract: A variable focal length lens having a simple structure and capable of being used for applications requiring small size is provided, as well as a focal length adjusting device and an imaging device using the same. A variable focal length lens 10 has a lens 11, a positive electrode 13, and a negative electrode 14. A second layer 11b and a first layer 11a constituting the lens 11 are formed from polyvinyl chloride with which a plasticizer has been mixed. The hardness of these layers is adjusted by adjusting the mixing quantity, plasticizer type, or etc. The second layer 11b is formed so as so cover at least a light transmission region of the first layer 11a. When a voltage is applied between the positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 14, the second layer 11 b and first layer 11 a are deformed to be pulled to the positive electrode 13, and thereby the curvature of the variable focal length lens 10 is varied to vary the focal length.

  • Patent number: 7528340
Abstract: An electric discharge machining apparatus comprises a power supply (5) for applying a voltage to a work gap formed between a tool electrode (E) and the workpiece (W) and a motor (7) that moves the tool electrode relative to the workpiece. An electric discharges counter (45) counts a number of electric discharge occurrences within a specified period (Td1) and generating a first count. A gap controller (48) multiplies the first count by a gain to generate position command or speed command for motor drive. An inversion counter (42) counts a number of inversions of the gap voltage upwards or downwards within a second specified period (Td2) and generating a second count. An electric discharge discriminator (44) discriminates the occurrence of electric discharge when the second count reaches a set value.
