  • Patent number: 10496894
Abstract: System and method for text localization in images are disclosed. In an embodiment, a line and graphic eliminated image is received. Further, horizontal projection is performed on rows of the image to obtain a first flag vector, the flag vector indicates whether there is text in each row. Furthermore, a number of run-lengths of consecutive 1's and 0's is computed in the first flag vector. Moreover, text lines is extracted in the image based on the computed number of run-lengths of consecutive 1's and 0's in the first flag vector. Also, vertical projection is performed on the text lines to obtain a second flag vector for the text lines. Further, a number of run-lengths of consecutive 1's and 0's is computed in the second flag vectors. Furthermore, text is localized in the image based on the computed number of run-lengths of consecutive 1's and 0's in the second flag vectors.

  • Patent number: 10497155
Abstract: A method for creating a graphical representation of data is performed at an electronic device having one or more processors and memory. The device receives a finite set of data points and calculates a respective conical distribution for each respective data point centered on the respective data point and based on a respective data value. Each conical distribution comprises a set of locations and a unique distribution value corresponding to each location. The device determines that a first data value of a first data point is less than a distribution value for a second data point. The distribution value has a location that corresponds to the first data point. Based on that determination, the device calculates an inverse conical distribution in a region around the first data point. The device combines the conical distributions and inverse conical distributions to display a data visualization that includes each of the data points.

  • Patent number: 10491508
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for detecting network loops. A system can identify, for each virtual tunnel endpoint (VTEP) from multiple VTEPs in a network, respective media access control address data including the respective local interface media access control addresses of the respective VTEP and respective media access control addresses learned by the respective VTEP. The system can determine whether the VTEPs are running spanning tree protocol (STP), and whether a media access control address learned by a first VTEP matches a respective local interface media access control address of a second VTEP. The system can detect a loop when the media access control address learned by the first VTEP matches the respective local interface media access control address of the second VTEP. The system can also detect a loop when the VTEPs are running STP and the first and second VTEPs see the same STP root bridge.

  • Patent number: 10482313
Abstract: A method and system for classification of endoscopic images is disclosed. An initial trained deep network classifier is used to classify endoscopic images and determine confidence scores for the endoscopic images. The confidence score for each endoscopic image classified by the initial trained deep network classifier is compared to a learned confidence threshold. For endoscopic images with confidence scores higher than the learned threshold value, the classification result from the initial trained deep network classifier is output. Endoscopic images with confidence scores lower than the learned confidence threshold are classified using a first specialized network classifier built on a feature space of the initial trained deep network classifier.

  • Publication number: 20190347635
Abstract: Disclosed systems and methods include configuring behavior of a machine in a physical environment based on detected interactions with the physical environment. In some cases, an electronic identification device identifies a presence of an object in the physical environment. An attribute corresponding to the identified object is determined, the attribute identifying a characteristic of a user or group or users of the physical environment. The attribute is matched to a parameter indicating an environment device and a configuration of the environment device. In some cases, the configuration is based on historical information about interactions in the physical environment, and the user characteristic. Behavior of the environment device is modified based on the configuration.
