    Abstract: A test circuit measures both the rising edge delay and the falling edge delay associated with a logic cell. The test circuit includes a flip-flop type ring oscillator with two groups of logic cells connected in series in the oscillation path. A first multiplexor switches the ring oscillator between a rising edge and a falling edge mode. A second multiplexer causes the second group of logic cells to be included or excluded from the oscillation path. By measuring the oscillation period in the various modes, the rising edge and falling edge delays can be individually calculated.

    Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for assigning a short address to a node in a network. A first node receives an association request that is a request from a second node to join the network. The first node transmits an association response to the second node, whereby the association response permits the second node to conditionally join the network and enter a low-power state. Data from the association request is transmitted to a coordinator node for the network on behalf of the second node. The first node receives a proxy response from the coordinator node in response to the data from the association request. When the second node is active, a notification is transmitted to the second node based on the response to the request. The notification includes an assignment of a short address when the response indicates the second node has joined the network.

    Abstract: A method of forming a dual damascene metal interconnect for a semiconductor device. The method includes forming a layer of low-k dielectric, forming vias through the low-k dielectric layer, depositing a sacrificial layer, forming trenches through the sacrificial layer, filling the vias and trenches with metal, removing the sacrificial layer, then depositing an extremely low-k dielectric layer to fill between the trenches. The method allows the formation of an extremely low-k dielectric layer for the second level of the dual damascene structure while avoiding damage to that layer by such processes as trench etching and trench metal deposition. The method has the additional advantage of avoiding an etch stop layer between the via level dielectric and the trench level dielectric.

    Abstract: Photograph organization based on facial recognition is described. In one or more embodiments, a photograph organization module obtains multiple photographs having images of faces and recognizes the faces in the multiple photographs. The module builds a population by attempting to distinguish individual persons among the faces in the multiple photographs, with each person of the population corresponding to a group of multiple groups. After a first pass through the faces, the population includes a number of duplicative persons. With a second pass, the photograph organization module reduces the number of duplicative persons in the population by merging two or more groups of the multiple groups to produce a reduced number of groups. The merging is performed based on comparisons of the faces corresponding to the two or more groups. The multiple photographs are organized based on the reduced number of groups. Organization can include tagging or displaying grouped photographs.

    Abstract: A technique for selecting a representative image from a group of digital images includes extracting data representing an image of a face of a person from each image in the group using a face recognition algorithm, determining a score for each image based on one or more quality parameters that are satisfied for the respective image, and selecting the image having the highest score as the representative image for the group. The quality parameters may be based on any quantifiable characteristics of the data. Each of these quality parameters may be uniquely weighted, so as to define the relative importance of one parameter with respect to another. The score for determining the representative image of the group may be obtained by adding together the weights corresponding to each quality parameter that is satisfied for a given image. Once selected, the representative image may be displayed in a graphical user interface.

The results of the self-test may be packaged with photographs and measurements of the electric system and sent to a remote system where an inspector can inspect the electric system remotely. After receiving approval by the inspector, the local power controller may automatically activate each branch circuit of the electric system and thus enabling the electric system to generate electricity.

The method may also include, without broadcasting the address resolution broadcast request to other virtual machines in the overlay network, generating an address resolution response indicating that the target IP address maps to the particular MAC address and sending the address resolution response to the first virtual machine hosted with the tunnel endpoint.

A wireline device selects victim-disturber specific parameters corresponding to a pair of digital subscriber line (DSL) lines and a subset of tones used to communicate data over the pair of DSL lines and downsamples, based at least in part on a downsampling parameter of the victim-disturber specific parameters, a set of vectoring coefficients. Each set of vectoring coefficients is quantized, and then a set of change values for each set of downsampled and quantized vectoring coefficients is compressed. The set of change values represent a difference between the downsampled and quantized vectoring coefficients across the subset of tones. The wireline device uses the compressed sets of change values to perform vectoring over the DSL lines.

In another embodiment, a medical image of the patient including the stenosis of interest is received, image patches corresponding to the stenosis of interest and a coronary tree of the patient are detected, an FFR value for the stenosis of interest is determined using a trained deep neural network regressor applied directly to the detected image patches.
