  • Publication number: 20170187581
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for the dynamic monitoring of network health characteristics via a visualization platform. The platform receives collected information regarding network health characteristics and applies a rule set defining at least one threshold to classify each of the network health characteristics for each network component over a time period. The classifications can be represented visually on a graphical user interface to a network administrator, allowing the administrator to quickly discern which aspects of the network are operating properly and which aspects are not.

  • Publication number: 20170177687
Abstract: An enterprise system which facilitates synchronization of offline data. Offline data created during an offline session or sessions (collectively an offline session) prior to synchronization is assigned a temporary key. Changes of offline data created during an offline session is assigned the temporary key of the data to which the change is associated. The temporary key is mapped to a new created backend key and stored in a mapping table. Using the mapping table, temporary keys associated with the changes are swapped with backend keys which the temporary keys are mapped. This maintains data persistency of newly created and change data during an offline session.

  • Patent number: 9684467
Abstract: Methods, systems, and programs are presented for managing a storage device memory. One method includes an operation for receiving a request to pin a volume stored in the storage device. The device includes disk storage and a solid state drive (SSD) cache, where pinned volumes in the storage device have all active volume data in the SSD cache. Further, the method includes an operation for determining the maximum amount of pinnable space in the SSD cache, the maximum amount of pinnable space being calculated based on the sizes of the disk storage and the SSD cache. Further, the method includes operations for determining the available pinning space, which is the maximum amount of pinnable space minus the current amount of pinned data in the SSD cache, and for granting the request to pin the volume when the available pinning space is greater than or equal to a size of the volume.

  • Publication number: 20170169309
Abstract: A processor-implemented method and system for detecting objects in a media file using a block based histogram of oriented gradients methodology is described. At least one image representing at least one frame of a video sequence comprising one or more objects of at least one desired object type is received. A region of interest contained in a block of frame is considered. An array containing magnitude and angle values is calculated, normalized for each pixel in the block in the internal memory. The normalized array is aggregated, ported and stored in an external memory. A value or block of values of the aggregated array in the external memory along with the specific feature vector is transferred to the internal memory. Based on a comparison of each value in the aggregated array and the specific feature vector, a desired object type is detected.

  • Patent number: 9668699
Abstract: A method and system for anatomical object detection using marginal space deep neural networks is disclosed. The pose parameter space for an anatomical object is divided into a series of marginal search spaces with increasing dimensionality. A respective deep neural network is trained for each of the marginal search spaces, resulting in a series of trained deep neural networks. Each of the trained deep neural networks can evaluate hypotheses in a current parameter space using discriminative classification or a regression function. An anatomical object is detected in a medical image by sequentially applying the series of trained deep neural networks to the medical image.

  • Patent number: 9665936
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing a see-through visualization of a patient includes receiving an image dataset representative of anatomical features of the patient acquired using a medical image scanner and acquiring a body surface model of the patient using an RGB-D sensor. The body surface model is aligned with the image dataset in a canonical/common coordinate system to yield an aligned body surface model. A relative pose of a mobile device is determined with respect to the RGB-D sensor and a pose dependent visualization of the patient is created by rendering the image dataset at a viewpoint corresponding to the relative pose of the mobile device. Then, the pose dependent visualization of the patient may be presented on the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 9660977
Abstract: A network access system, e.g. a network hotspot, requires a mobile network access device, e.g. a smart phone or WiFi only device, to provide a network access standard designation and/or a device identification datum to gain access to network services. The network access standard designation may be provided by the mobile network access device to an online signup server via a EKU_key_purpose field of a PKCS10 certificate signing request. The device identification datum may be provided to the OSU via a subject field of the signing request. The OSU may require that the device identification datum be the same as a device identification datum provided by the mobile network access device prior to the mobile network access device requesting a signed network access certificate.
