Information about a first event detector of the one or more event detectors is inferred, in part, from the interconnect signals and transmitted via the network interface.

The electronic device intercepts a request from the guest pertaining to the virtual device, and determines whether the request from the guest is a fast-path operation to be passed directly to one of the one or more AI instances of the I/O device or a slow-path operation that is to be at least partially serviced via software executed by the electronic device. For a slow-path operation, the electronic device services the request at least partially via the software executed by the electronic device.

    Abstract: A modular microcode (uCode) patch method to support runtime persistent update and associated apparatus. The method enables BIOS uCode patches to be received during platform runtime operations and written to first and second uCode extension regions as uCode images for a firmware device layout that further includes a uCode base region in which a current uCode image is stored. Following a platform reset, the first and second uCode extension regions are inspected to determine if one or more valid and newer uCode images (than the current uCode image) are present. If so, the newest uCode image is booted rather than the current uCode image. Following a successful boot, the newest uCode image is copied to the uCode base region to sync-up the current uCode image to the newest version. In one aspect, received uCode images are written to the first and second uCode extension regions in an alternating manner to support roll-back.

Based on the characteristics of the resource or of the function, a different target state, and in some cases intermediate states that may occur before the target state, may be determined. As the resource performs the function, telemetry data is received. The current state of the resource determined from the telemetry data is compared to the valid intermediate and target states, and output indicating the states of the resource as valid or erroneous is generated.

A live event logging system is synchronized to the reference clock same as the live production and playout system. Based on location of the live event logging system, a time offset is introduced to compensate for a delay. When delay is variable, the reference clock is decoded from a live input stream to associate each key event with a corresponding timecode. Based on a programming schedule comprising the key events that occurred in the live input stream, the disparate live media output stream manifest is published.
