  • Patent number: 12101339
Abstract: Some examples relate to classifying IoT malware at a network device. An example includes receiving, by a network device, network traffic from an Internet of Things (IoT) device. Network device may analyze network parameters from the network traffic with a machine learning model. In response to analyzing, network device may classify the network traffic into a category of malware activity. Network device may determine an effectiveness of network traffic classification by measuring a deviation of the network parameters from previously trained network parameters that were used for training the machine learning model. In response to a determination that the deviation of the network parameters from the trained network parameters is more than a pre-defined threshold, network device may generate an alert highlighting the deviation, which allows a user to perform a remedial action pertaining to the IoT device.

  • Patent number: 12098351
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and process for converting organic waste to biogas with high methane content and improved organic conversion efficiency. Disclosed process consists of two stages and in the first stage, shredded organic waste is digested in primary digester in which biodegradable organic fractions present in waste gets converted to volatile fatty acids and alcohols dissolved in aqueous solution by hydrolytic and acidogenic microorganisms. Primary digester effluent pH, is adjusted to about 6.8-7.5 by addition of controlled alkali solution. Neutralized waste slurry is separated into liquid solution called as leachate and digested solid sludge. In the second stage, liquid leachate comprising volatile fatty acids are converted to biogas with methane content in the range 80-86% by methanogenic microbial culture in main digester under anaerobic conditions.

  • Patent number: 12099774
Abstract: A dual-screen computing device includes two separate displays that are coupled to an interconnecting hinge. A hinge detector detects movement or position of the hinge, and the positions of the displays may be determined based on the hinge movement or position. The positions of the displays relative to each other may then be used to determine which mode of operation the dual-screen computing device is operating (e.g., tent mode, open, closed, etc.). Additionally, the dual-screen computing device may include various sensors that detect different environmental, orientation, location, and device-specific information. Applications are configured to operate differently based on the mode of operation and, optionally, the sensor data detected by the sensors.

  • Patent number: 12101637
Abstract: Fifth generation and beyond (5G+) systems are expected to adopt new network architectures, services, and deployment schemes for compatibility with the latest technologies and end user's needs. With increase in user equipment (UE), also come variety of advanced applications and use-cases, wherein each application type has its own KPI requirements. Existing resource allocation schemes in cellular networks are not able to handle such dynamic requirements due to which network slice can lead to unwanted mismanagement of resources. Present application provides systems and methods for application-aware dynamic slicing in radio access network (RAN), wherein RAN slicing is proactively managed by learning historical slice demands and consumptions. Once slices are created, the system allocates resources to user equipment by following optimal inter-slice and intra-slice mechanisms based on application type(s), traffic demand(s) and wireless characteristics of UE.

  • Patent number: 12099603
Abstract: Systems and methods for detection of domain generated algorithms (DGA) and their command and control (C&C) servers are disclosed. In one embodiment, such an approach includes examining DNS queries for DNS resolution failures, and monitoring certain set of parameters such as number of levels, length of domain name, lexical complexity, and the like for each failed domain. These parameters may then be compared against certain thresholds to determine if the domain name is likely to be part of a DGA malware. Domain names identified as being part of a DGA malware may then be grouped together. Once a DGA domain name has been identified, activity from that domain name can be monitored to detect successful resolutions from the same source to see if any of the successful domain resolutions match these parameters. If they match specific thresholds, then the domain is determined to be a C&C server of the DGA malware and may be identified as such.

  • Patent number: 12099327
Abstract: A holographic calling system can capture and encode holographic data at a sender-side of a holographic calling pipeline and decode and present the holographic data as a 3D representation of a sender at a receiver-side of the holographic calling pipeline. The holographic calling pipeline can include stages to capture audio, color images, and depth images; densify the depth images to have a depth value for each pixel while generating parts masks and a body model; use the masks to segment the images into parts needed for hologram generation; convert depth images into a 3D mesh; paint the 3D mesh with color data; perform torso disocclusion; perform face reconstruction; and perform audio synchronization. In various implementations, different of these stages can be performed sender-side or receiver side. The holographic calling pipeline also includes sender-side compression, transmission over a communication channel, and receiver-side decompression and hologram output.

  • Patent number: 12101334
Abstract: A threat management system stores an attack matrix characterizing tactics and techniques, and provides threat detection based on patterns of traversal of the attack matrix. Where the threat management system provides a data lake of security events and a query interface for using the data lake to investigate security issues, useful inferences may also be drawn by comparing query activity in the query interface with the patterns of traversal of the attack matrix, such as by using a malicious pattern of traversal to identify a concurrent chain of queries indicative of a threat, or by presenting separate threat scores to an analyst based on query activity and patterns of traversal.

  • Patent number: 12099575
Abstract: First images that are screenshots from a first version of a software component are obtained. Second images that are screenshots from a second version are obtained. A collection of image deviations that includes pair-wise image deviations between pairs of images are identified. A pair of images includes a first image from the first images and a corresponding second image from the second images. An image deviation indicates a portion of the second image identified as differing from a spatially corresponding portion of the first image. The image deviations are grouped into deviation groups. At least some of the second images are associated with at least some of the deviation groups. A subset of the second images corresponding to a deviation group is output responsive to a selection of an indication of the deviation group.

  • Patent number: 12099728
Abstract: In order to lower the peak and average current through the channel (thereby lowering peak and average power consumption) during program-verify, which exhibits a word line dependency, the inventors propose to program dummy memory cells connected to a dummy word line before programming data memory cells connected to a data word line. The additional resistance in the NAND string introduced by the preprogrammed dummy memory cells will cause the peak current, and power consumption, to be lower. To address the word line dependency, the dummy memory cells connected to the dummy word line can be programmed to different threshold voltages based on which data word line is to be programmed. Thus, prior to programming data non-volatile memory cells connected to a particular data word line, the dummy memory cells are programmed to a threshold voltage that is chosen based on the position of the particular data word line.

  • Patent number: 12101642
Abstract: A system for updating a preferred nodes list for a wireless device in a wireless network includes a server in communication with a plurality of nodes each configured to deploy a radio air interface to provide wireless services to wireless devices. The server includes a processor configured to instruct, in response to a trigger, a first node to send a message to a wireless device connected to the first node. The message instructs the wireless device to contact the server for an updated preferred nodes list. The processor receives a request for the updated preferred nodes list from the wireless device and provides the updated preferred nodes list to the wireless device. The updated preferred nodes list enables the wireless device to change from connecting to the first node included in the preferred nodes list to connecting to a second node included in the updated preferred nodes list.
