Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method of migrating a particular virtual machine (VM) from a first host computer to a second host computer. The first host computer of some embodiments has a physical network interface card (PNIC) that performs at least one of network forwarding operations and middlebox service operations for the particular VM. The first host computer sends, to the PNIC of the first host computer, a request for state information relating to at least one of network forwarding operations and middlebox service operations that the PNIC performs for the particular VM. The first host computer receives the state information from the PNIC. The first host computer provides the state information received from the PNIC to the second host computer as part of a data migration that is performed to migrate the particular VM from the first host computer to the second host computer.

Abstract: Aspects provided herein provide methods, systems, and a non-transitory computer storage media storing computer-useable instructions for packet data network device handling in a resource constrained network. A resource constrained network may be an extra-terrestrial network with limited bandwidth. This limited bandwidth may cause the typical process of establishing a default data bearer before establishing an IMS bearer unfeasible, as too much bandwidth may be used by the default data bearer. Aspects discussed below provide a mechanism to establish an IMS bearer without establishing a default data bearer. The method begins with determining a public land mobile network (PLMN) associated with a base station which a UE is attempting to connect to. Then, based on a determination that the PLMN associated with the base station does not allow connection with a PDN data bearer, a PDN connectivity request is communicated with an IMS bearer and without a data bearer.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable recording medium for authenticating a client application using two-factor authentication. The method includes receiving, from the client application, a request to access an application programming interface (API), validating, using a first authentication method, the client application for accessing the API, and based on a result of the validating using the first authentication method, validating the client application for accessing the API using a second authentication method, and providing a response to the client application based on the validating using the first authentication method and the second authentication method.

Abstract: A method for implementing dynamic content handling of inter layer messages in a pod based cloud native environment, the method includes: receiving, by a virtual centralized unit (vCU), at least one Master Information Block (MIB) parameter configured by a virtual element management system (vEMS); preparing, by the vCU, a MIB encoded buffer may include a Dummy System Frame Number (D-SFN); sending, by the vCU, once at the time of startup initiation, the MIB encoded buffer with the D-SFN to a virtual distributed unit (vDU) via a Midhaul between the vCU and the vDU; receiving, by the vDU, the MIB encoded buffer with the D-SFN via the Midhaul; for each received MIB encoded buffer, by the vDU, calculating a new SFN from an utility function; updating the MIB encoded buffer; and sending the updated MIB encoded buffer with the new SFN from the utility function to a user entity (UE).

The similarity matrix includes values that indicate the extent of similarity between different pairs of descriptions. The values of the similarity matrix are clustered to generate a clustered similarity matrix, which include groupings of pair-wise similarities between the different descriptions. Commonalities between the different descriptions are identified using the groupings of pair-wise similarities.

Abstract: An arrangement for supporting one or more bearings of a crankshaft assembly of a hydraulic fracturing pump includes a frame and one or more bearing supports. The frame is of a first material and defines one or more bearing support profiles. The bearing supports are of a second material different from the first material of the frame. The bearing supports are cast-in-place within the corresponding bearing support profiles of the frame and are configured to be in contact with an outer race of the corresponding bearings of the crankshaft assembly. Compared to the first material of the frame, the second material of the bearing supports is more effective at preventing slippage of the bearings.

The method may include obtaining a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) capture; obtaining a first LIDAR-based representation of an object as captured from a first distance; obtaining a second LIDAR-based representation of the object as captured from a second distance; augmenting the LIDAR capture using the first LIDAR-based representation of the object and the second LIDAR-based representation of the object to generate an augmented LIDAR capture; and training a machine-learning object-detection model using the augmented LIDAR capture.

The method includes next applying a radius estimation module of the trained neural network to the initial feature map. An output of the radius estimation module depends on an inner radius of the roundabout and an outer radius of the roundabout. The method includes finally determining an entry point and an exit point of the roundabout depending on the output of the classificator module and depending on the output of the radius estimation module.

Abstract: A method for determining a state of a fuse in a battery pack is provided. The battery pack comprises a first string comprising a first string fuse; at least one parallel arrangement comprising a battery cell and a resistor; and a first ammeter. The parallel arrangement is configured to be changeable between a connected state wherein the resistor is connected in parallel to the battery cell and a disconnected state wherein the resistor is disconnected from the battery cell. A second string comprising at least one battery cell is connected in parallel to the first string. The method comprises changing the at least one parallel arrangement of the first string to the connected state, and measuring a current passing through the first string. In an event that the change in the first current does not exceed a threshold, the first string fuse is in a blown state.
