  • Patent number: 12079572
Abstract: A system and method for creating a machine learning (ML) classifier for a database uses a weakly-supervised training data set created automatically from database items on the basis of a human-created keyword set. The automatically created training data set is used to construct one or more deep learning classifier checkpoints, which can then be compared with one another and with a classifier based on the original keyword set in order to select a classifier for use by other users viewing the database.

  • Patent number: 12081975
Abstract: Intelligent systems for detecting SIM swap in mobile devices, wherein if a user requests access to an account via a mobile device, a mobile device application (MDA) sends the request along with mobile device ID and IMSI. If all information received from the MDA matches information stored in memory, the user can access the account. If the mobile device ID or IMSI received from the MDA do not match the mobile device ID or IMSI stored in memory, a social intelligence module compares a mobile device user profile with a profile for a user associated with the account ID. If the mobile device user profile matches or is within a confidence level of the profile for the user associated with the account ID, the user can access the account. Otherwise, additional methods to validate the user may be implemented to prevent possible fraudsters from accessing the account.

  • Patent number: 12081443
Abstract: Techniques are described for an adaptive CoPP that can adapt and change based on actual network control traffic rather than static CoPP rates. An aggressive CoPP can protect the CPU (route processor) of a network device, e.g., routers and switches, but may also penalize convergence and performance. An adaptive CoPP may protect CPU as well as boost convergence and performance parameters. In particular, traffic between two sites may be managed by proactively changing the thresholds of lower CoS traffic based on the CoPP utilization of various protocol/BPDU class traffic, thereby improving data plane convergence and application performance in scaled environments.

  • Patent number: 12081967
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method, an Access Point (AP) device for creating a closed Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) hotspot network, and a method, a station device for connecting to the closed Wi-Fi hotspot network. The AP device receives a first input for creating the closed Wi-Fi hotspot network, transmits an encryption key to the station device, which is present within a predefined region, over an in-band communication medium or an out-of-band communication medium, and creates the closed Wi-Fi hotspot network by communicating management frames in cipher text with the station device. The station device receives the encryption key and the management frames from the AP device; and transmits a connection request to the AP device for connecting to the closed Wi-Fi hotspot network. The communication of the management frames in the cipher text provides improved security against attacks associated with Wi-Fi hotspot networks.

  • Patent number: 12081526
Abstract: Systems, methods, and data storage devices for data recovery from network storage systems are described. The data storage device may include a host data channel for data transfer with the host and a network data channel for data transfer with the network storage system over a network. Responsive to a read error when reading a data unit, the data storage device establishes a secure data transfer connection with the network storage system to request the failed data unit from the network storage system. The data unit retrieved from the network storage system may be used to respond to the original read request and restore the data unit in the data storage device.

  • Patent number: 12079132
Abstract: Data transfer between caching domains of a data processing system is achieved by a local coherency node (LCN) of a first caching domain receiving a read request for data associated with a second caching domain, from a requesting node of the first caching domain. The LCN requests the data from the second caching domain via a transfer agent. In response to receiving a cache line containing the data from the second caching domain, the transfer agent sends the cache line to the requesting node, bypassing the LCN and, optionally, sends a read-receipt indicating the state of the cache line to the LCN. The LCN updates a coherency state for the cache line in response to receiving the read-receipt from the transfer agent and a completion acknowledgement from the requesting node. Optionally, the transfer agent may send the cache line via the LCN when congestion is detected in a response channel of the data processing system.

  • Patent number: 12081907
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method avoids presenting certain objects during a video communication session. During a video communication session with second electronic device(s), a controller of an electronic device identifies baseline image(s) from an image stream provided by an image capturing device of the electronic device. The baseline image includes a primary image portion of participant(s) and including a scene of objects within the foreground or background of participant (s), during an initial portion of the video communication session. The controller monitors the image stream for a subsequent detection of the primary image portion and of non-participant(s) or object(s) as a secondary image portion that is not included within the baseline image(s).

  • Patent number: 12079334
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for test pattern generation to detect a hardware Trojan. One such method includes determining, by a computing device, a set of initial test patterns to activate the hardware Trojan within an integrated circuit design; evaluating nodes of the integrated circuit design and assigning a rareness attribute value and a testability attribute value associated with respective nodes of the integrated circuit design; and generating a set of additional test patterns to activate the hardware Trojan within the integrated circuit design using a reinforcement learning model. The set of initial test patterns is applied as an input along with rareness attribute values and testability attribute values associated with the nodes of the integrated circuit, and the reinforcement learning model is trained with a stochastic learning scheme to identify optimal test patterns for triggering nodes of the integrated circuit design.

  • Patent number: 12079700
Abstract: Techniques of generating input for a kernel-based machine learning system that uses a kernel to perform classification operations on data involve generating unbiased estimators for gaussian kernels according to a new framework called Structured Orthogonal Random Features (SORF). The unbiased estimator KSORF to the kernel involves a linear transformation matrix WSORF computed using products of a set of pairs of matrices, each pair including an orthogonal matrix and respective diagonal matrix whose elements are real numbers following a specified probability distribution. Typically, the orthogonal matrix is a Walsh-Hadamard matrix, the specified probability distribution is a Rademacher distribution, and there are at least two, usually three, pairs of matrices multiplied together to form the linear transformation matrix WSORF.

  • Patent number: 12079517
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses include receiving a write command including user data. The write command is directed to a portion of memory including a first block and a second block. A buffer is allocated for executing the write command to the first block. The buffer includes multiple buffer decks and the buffer holds the user data written to the first block. User data is programmed into the first block to a threshold percentage. The threshold percentage is less than one hundred percent of the first block. A buffer deck is invalidated in response to programming the first block to the threshold percentage. The buffer deck is reallocated to the second block for programming the user data into the second block. The buffer deck holds user data written to the second block.
