  • Patent number: 12076464
Abstract: Tumor resection is commonly practiced to prevent the progression of cancer. However, there are post-surgery concerns including the formation of a void that can allow cancer cells to escape at the surgery site, which increases the risk of metastasis. To counter this challenge, an embodiment includes a polyurethane-based shape memory foam as a tissue void-filling device that can also release anti-cancer drugs. Such foams may activate at body temperature and become malleable. Such properties may enable the foam to be shaped to precisely seal the tissue void and then serve as a drug-eluting device. Based on the drug composition with poly vinyl alcohol (PVA), the drug release profile from the foam may be altered depending on the application.

  • Patent number: 12076409
Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions comprising two or more therapeutically active agents, such as two or more anticancer agents, conjugated to one or more biocompatible polymers, wherein the molar ratio of the agents and/or schedules of delivery provide a synergistic therapeutic effect, are described. Methods of making and using the pharmaceutical compositions are further described. In one embodiment, the pharmaceutical compositions contain topoisomerase I and topoisomerase II inhibitors conjugated to the same or different biocompatible polymers. The two or more anticancer agents are covalently coupled to the polymer(s), and thereby can be delivered to a tumor at a molar ratio which provides a synergistic effect. • Patent number: 12078114
Abstract: An engine system that delivers torque to a driveline of a vehicle includes an internal combustion engine (ICE), a manifold, an engine phaser (ePhaser), an electric turbine (eTurbine) and a controller. The ICE includes intake valves and exhaust valves. The ePhaser is configured to adjust timing of the intake and exhaust valves. The eTurbine is driven by an electric motor and is configured to deliver air toward and away from the manifold. The controller determines an ICE start request and, sends a signal to the ePhaser to open identified valves of the intake valves and the exhaust valves creating a pathway through the ICE. The controller further sends a signal to the electric motor to rotate the eTurbine in a direction that moves air out of the manifold. The eTurbine is used to deplete air in the manifold before starting the ICE and reduce emissions at startup.

  • Patent number: 12081533
Abstract: Present disclosure relates to system and method for converting RTMP stream into HLS format for live stream. The solution architecture can include three main components: a Publisher, a Streamer and an API server. The publisher manages incoming RTMP streams and converts RTMP stream into multiple (resolutions) HLS streams with an adaptive bit rate. The streamer manages end users consuming HLS feed. As publisher can be busy doing transcoding, the streamer can serve HLS format to an end user. At streamer level, caching is done instead of sending all requests to publisher. The API server manages load on the publishers and the streamers, and makes sure that the servers are available all the time. Live stream API server keeps record of the streams which are available as well as the corresponding publishers having the streams.

  • Patent number: 12081162
Abstract: A method and associated system provide grid-forming mode (GFM) control of an inverter-based renewable energy source having an asynchronous machine connected to a power grid. The method includes deriving a power error signal (PER) between a real power output (PB) from the renewable energy source and a power reference (PREF) representing a desired power output of the renewable energy source. With an inertial power regulator, a phase shift angle (?IT) is generated from the power error signal (PER) to provide virtual synchronous machine (VSM) control functionality to the GFM control of the renewable energy source. A power angle compensation (??) is applied to the phase shift angle (?IT) from the inertial power regulator to dampen power oscillations and load fluctuations during transient power events.

  • Publication number: 20240289218
Abstract: Data is read from a set of memory cells of a memory device to a buffer of the memory device. One or more bits in error in the data stored by the buffer are corrected by a decoder of the memory device. The decoder corrects the one or more bits in error by decoding the data stored by the buffer. The decoding of the data results in corrected data. An encoder of the memory device encodes the corrected data and the encoded corrected data is programmed to the set of memory cells.
