  • Patent number: 12273780
Abstract: Techniques described herein relate to intelligent migration between personal area networks (PANs) of a wireless mesh network. In one example, a method includes receiving, by a node connected to a first PAN, a packet from a second PAN. Based on the packet, the node determines that a second instability factor related to stability of the second PAN differs by at least a margin from a first instability factor related to stability of the first PAN. The node transmits, to a neighboring node in the first PAN, a migration notification message indicating that the node is migrating and receives, from the neighboring node in the first PAN, a request for the node to remain in the first PAN. The node applies one or more rules to reject the request for the node to remain in the first PAN and, based on rejecting the request, proceeds to complete the migration.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for adaptively discretizing a position of a textual object in a document includes receiving, by a computer system, an image of the document and determining, by the computer system, an absolute position of the textual object in the image of the document. The method further includes normalizing, by the computer system, the absolute position to determine a relative position of the textual object. The method also includes calculating, by the computer system, a bin size such that at least one axis of the image is divided into a plurality of separate bins, wherein a distance between each bin along the at least one axis and its adjacent bin equals the bin size. The method includes discretizing, by the computer system, the relative position based on the bin size to determine a discretized position of the textual object; and providing, by the computer system, the discretized position and a textual content of the textual object as an input to a machine learning model.

  • Publication number: 20250112987
Abstract: A method provides techniques for detecting, by a processor of an electronic device, a use context associated with a do-not-disturb (DnD) operating mode of the electronic device. In response to detecting the DnD use context, a notification mode of the electronic device is changed from an original setting to a restrictive setting in which received and/or automatically generated notifications are not outputted in certain scenarios or during execution of certain applications or processes. The method further includes detecting entry into a DnD inactive condition from among a completion of the DnD use context or a switch to another use context that does not require a DnD operating mode, and restoring the notification mode of the electronic device to the original setting, based on detecting the DnD inactive condition.

Abstract: The present invention is a self-contained (no wires or external probes), cuffless, handheld blood pressure monitor that does not require calibration and provides results that are equivalent to a traditional cuff-based blood pressure measuring technique. It achieves this result by using various mathematical relationships between pulse wave velocity, age, height, and weight to calculate a user's SBP and DBP. Consequently, this compact device allows for a user to easily track their blood pressure throughout the course of a day/week/year without having to visit a medical office.

  • Publication number: 20250113123
Abstract: Networks and network elements having an optical power control block, service and power control orchestrator, used to activate, deactivate and perform optical control of channels is disclosed hereby. The invention introduces the idea that, user created service would be activated or deactivated in smaller increments which would help to mitigate power transient on the transmission line. This approach of incremental activation or deactivation would help to correct against undesirable power changes on rest of the optical channels sharing the common optical path. In addition, it provides a way to monitor the health of increment under activation throughout the activation and if necessary optical power thresholds being not met, it can be rolled back. During the process of such an incremental activation or deactivation, the already activated portion of the channel would continue to be optically controlled independently.
