  • Patent number: 12272142
Abstract: A monitoring system incorporates, and a method and a computer program product provide image projection of content of subjective interest to a person, responsive to a detected mood of the person. A controller of the monitoring system receives image stream(s) from a camera system, including a first image stream encompassing a face of a person. The controller compares facial expressions within the first image stream with facial expression trigger(s) in a visual object library. In response to determining that the first image stream includes facial expression trigger(s) among the visual object library, the controller determines one or more objects in the visual object library having an associated interest value, in a preference tracking data structure, above a threshold soothing value corresponding to the person. The controller triggers an image projector to present the object(s) within the field of view of the person to respond to the facial expression trigger.

  • Patent number: 12270918
Abstract: A global positioning system (GPS)-bias detection and reduction system including a GPS-bias model having GPS statistical data creating a database representing data collected from a vehicle group having thousands or multiple thousands of vehicles saved in a database. At least one newly collected vehicle GPS data point is compared to the GPS statistical data to reduce negative effects of GPS-bias and to update the vehicle GPS-bias correction based on a previous GPS-bias model. A selected road node and a segment of a roadway have a map matching performed using a nearest service from a collection location of the GPS statistical data. A GPS-bias is calculated using a look-up of the database. An estimated horizontal position error (EHPE) defining a quality indicator is applied to distinguish a good quality GPS statistical data from a poor quality GPS statistical data.

  • Patent number: 12272031
Abstract: An image inpainting system is described that receives an input image that includes a masked region. From the input image, the image inpainting system generates a synthesized image that depicts an object in the masked region by selecting a first code that represents a known factor characterizing a visual appearance of the object and a second code that represents an unknown factor characterizing the visual appearance of the object apart from the known factor in latent space. The input image, the first code, and the second code are provided as input to a generative adversarial network that is trained to generate the synthesized image using contrastive losses. Different synthesized images are generated from the same input image using different combinations of first and second codes, and the synthesized images are output for display.

  • Patent number: 12271279
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed herein combine randomization functionalities with the machine-learning prioritization of workflows for performance testing. In aspects, a primary workflow having a sequence of user interface steps is input. Testing workflows are generated that represent each variable position of unlocked steps in the sequence of the primary workflow while maintaining the sequential position of any locked steps. These testing workflows are then ingested to a machine learning model that identifies as subset of the testing workflows to prioritize over other. Specifically, testing workflows are prioritized that at least partially match sequence patterns in historical workflow data that is associated with vulnerable computer code. The subset is output and tested by testing engine to generate a report of any vulnerable computer code.

  • Patent number: 12272217
Abstract: Systems and methods include extracting item parameters from images of items positioned at a POS system. Item parameters associated with each item when mapped into a feature vector for each item are indicative as to an identification of the item. The feature vectors are analyzed to determine whether item parameters when combined and mapped into the feature vectors match a corresponding feature vector stored in a database. The database stores different combinations of item parameters as mapped into different stored feature vectors with different stored feature vectors associated with different items thereby identifying each item based on each different combination of item parameters as mapped into each stored feature vector associated with each item. Each item positioned at the POS system is identified when the feature vectors associated with each item match a corresponding stored feature vector as stored in the database.

  • Patent number: 12271596
Abstract: Techniques for performing effective noise removal for biased machine learning (ML) based optimizations in storage systems. The techniques include serving, by a storage system, an IO workload, identifying, using ML from among a plurality of storage objects subject to the IO workload, storage objects with low temperatures (e.g., cold storage objects) or likely to have low temperatures in the near future, and removing them from subsequent temperature forecasting analysis, effectively treating such cold storage objects as “noise.” The techniques further include performing the temperature forecasting analysis on remaining ones of the plurality of storage objects such as those with high temperatures (e.g., hot storage objects). In this way, temperature forecasting or prediction is performed, using ML, in a biased fashion over a relatively narrow spectrum of storage object temperatures, thereby improving tiering and data prefetching performance, reducing memory and processing overhead, and so on.

  • Patent number: 12272176
Abstract: A monitoring system incorporates, and method and computer program product provide a monitoring system that captures image stream of regions of interest based on identified facial cues of a person. A controller of the monitoring system receives a first image stream that encompasses a face of a person and a second image stream that encompasses surrounding object(s) and surface(s) viewable by the person. The controller detects a facial expression of the face. In response to determining that the facial expression is a mood associated expression, the controller determines, from the first image stream, an eye gaze direction of the person. The controller determines a region of interest (ROI) aligned with the eye gaze direction. The controller captures the second image stream and identifies an object contained within the ROI. The controller communicates a notification including the expression and the object within the ROI to an output device.
