Abstract: Improved methods and apparatus for additive manufacture of an ophthalmic lens, such as a contact lens or intraocular lens. The improvements are directed to repeated application of a monomer according to a pattern of energy transmissibility, such as grayscale image. The method includes intermittent pinning of deposited polymerizable mixture and final cure of the deposited polymerizable mixture. A pattern of multiple defied areas may be manufactured, with each area representing an amount of energy transmissibility associated with that area. Each area may have a light value based upon a scale, such as an 8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit, 64 bit scale or other scale. In some embodiments, each area may refer to a smallest single component of a digital image.

  • Publication number: 20230422080
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for assigning PDCP discard timers to wireless devices with active non-GBR sessions. The systems and methods evaluate cell utilization for a cell with respect to a cell utilization threshold and define the cell as congested or non-congested based on the evaluation. Further, RF conditions are evaluated for the wireless device with respect to a first RF conditions threshold for the non-congested cell and a second RF conditions threshold for the congested cell. Systems and methods further select a discard timer for the wireless device based on the evaluation of the cell utilization with respect to the cell utilization threshold and the evaluation of the RF conditions with respect to the RF conditions thresholds.

  • Publication number: 20230418499
Abstract: Aspects directed towards data storage management are provided. In one aspect, a data storage system receives fragmentation level information from data storage devices, and host data from a host device to be stored in the data storage devices. Based on the received fragmentation level information, a target data storage device is selected from the data storage devices, and the host data is sent to the target data storage device. In another aspect, a data storage device determines threshold conditions that trigger a defragmentation process. For this aspect, a fragmentation level metric indicating a proximity of the data storage device to initiating the defragmentation process is calculated based on the threshold conditions and a current amount of data stored in a non-volatile memory (NVM). The fragmentation level metric is then sent to a storage management device.

  • Publication number: 20230418770
Abstract: A method of operation of a flash integrated circuit (IC) memory device is described. The flash IC memory device has an array of memory cells and an interface to receive control, address and data signals using an internal reference voltage. The method includes, at boot-up, initializing the internal reference voltage to a default voltage. At boot-up, the interface is operable to receive, using the internal reference voltage, signals having a first voltage swing at a first signaling frequency. The method includes receiving a first command that specifies calibration of the interface during a calibration mode. The calibration mode is used to calibrate the interface to operate at a second signaling frequency and receive signals having a second voltage swing. The second voltage swing is smaller than the first voltage swing and the second signaling frequency is higher than the first signaling frequency.
