  • Publication number: 20230385200
Abstract: Various devices, such as storage devices or systems are configured to efficiently process and update logical mappings within control table sets. Control table sets are often groupings of logical mapping corresponding to the logical locations of data requested by a host-computing device and the physical locations of the data within the memory array. As data is written and erased, these mappings must be updated within the control table set. Received changes to these mappings are typically stored and updated in two locations: a cache memory and a control table update list. By tracking and marking various control table sets as dirty or having undergone multiple changes, additional received updates can be stored and updated in only the cache memory, bypassing the second control table change list. By only utilizing one method of updating control table sets, processing overhead is reduced and various read or write activities are more efficiently done.

  • Publication number: 20230386566
Abstract: An in-memory computation circuit includes a memory array with SRAM cells connected in rows by word lines and in columns by bit lines. A row controller circuit simultaneously actuates word lines in parallel for an in-memory compute operation. A column processing circuit includes a clamping circuit that clamps a voltage on the bit line to a level exceeding an SRAM cell bit flip voltage during execution of the in-memory compute operation. The column processing circuit may further include a current mirroring circuit that mirrors the read current developed on each bit line in response to the simultaneous actuation to generate a decision output for the in-memory compute operation. The mirrored read current is integrated by an integration capacitor to generate an output voltage that is converted to a digital signal by an analog-to-digital converter circuit.

  • Publication number: 20230385934
Abstract: A computer system is providing financial recommendations for investors with preferences for non-financial characteristics, by measuring the dependence of a client's financial risk-aversion on non-financial factors referred to as ‘context specific risk-aversion’, and using the context-specific risk-aversion to compute recommended financial securities for investment. Amongst the non-financial factors (contexts) are those related to the values-based factors, often those relating to the environmental, social, or governance (ESG) performance of corporations. On a client computer system, a user interface is provided that displays a stochastic financial outcome with coincident (fixed or stochastic) non-financial outcome(s) forming a context, and displays an input field where the client user inputs data encoding their degree of acceptance for the outcomes presented thus risk-preference. The client computer system transmits the encoded context specific risk preferences to a communicatively coupled server system.

  • Publication number: 20230385111
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for utilizing a new memory allocation function library called PmemMalloc. For example, the PmemMalloc library allocates pre-allocated, partitioned, and fixed shared memory blocks. In addition, by utilizing the PmemMalloc library, the memory allocation system described herein overcomes problems with persistence and enumeration that encumber existing malloc libraries. Indeed, the PmemMalloc library enables the memory allocation system to perform servicing computation in parallel across multiple CPU cores/threads, distribute computation equally among threads, prioritize servicing, among other improvements. Notably, the PmemMalloc library provides major constructs (e.g., persistence, enumeration, and debuggability) not available existing malloc libraries.
