  • Patent number: 11747885
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for saving power in a Universal Serial Bus (USB) repeater/re-timer between a USB host and a peripheral device by intercepting packets received from the host to predict the direction of data traffic to selectively turn off/on circuitry of a peripheral port used to receive packets from the peripheral device. If a host port determines that the host is sending a start-of-frame (SOF) packet, the direction of data flow is from the host to the peripheral device, and the repeater may turn off the peripheral port such as squelch circuitry. If the host port determines that the host is sending a non-SOF packet, such as an address token that precedes a host-to-peripheral-device data transfer or a peripheral-device-to-host data transfer, the direction of data flow is anticipated to be from the peripheral device to the host, and the repeater may re-enable the deactivated circuitry of the peripheral port.

  • Patent number: 11748971
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method and system for identifying products using digital fingerprints. The method includes receiving, by a product tracking system, a set of images corresponding to a product, wherein the set of images are received along with associated context information. The method generates a set of standardized images by pre-processing the set of images. Each standardized image of the set of standardized images are further segmented into a plurality of zones. A zone wise fingerprint is generated for each zone of the plurality of zones. A product digital fingerprint is generated for the product by combining zone wise fingerprints associated with the set of standardized images, wherein the product digital fingerprint identifies the product.

  • Patent number: 11748013
Abstract: An initial value of a power cycle count associated with the memory device is identified. The power cycle count is incremented responsive to detecting a powering up of the memory device. Responsive to programming a block residing in the memory device, the block is associated with a current block family associated with the memory device. A currently value of the power cycle count is determined. Responsive to determining that a difference between the initial value of the power cycle count and the current value of the power cycle count satisfies a predefined condition, the current block family is closed.

  • Patent number: 11748143
Abstract: Live mounting a virtual machine (VM) causes the VM to run off a backup copy or snapshot previously taken of a “live” production VM. The live-mounted VM is generally intended for temporary use such as to validate the integrity and contents of the backup copy for disaster recovery validation, or to access some contents of the backup copy from the live-mounted VM without restoring all backed up files. These uses contemplate that changes occurring during live mount are not preserved after the live-mounted VM expires or is taken down. Thus, live mounting a VM is not a restore operation and usually does not involve access to every block of data in the backup copy. However, live mounting provides live VM service in the cloud sooner than waiting for all of the backup copy/snapshot to be restored.

  • Patent number: 11747441
Abstract: An electronic device may utilize various methods or systems to determine whether the electronic device is indoors or outdoors. The electronic device transmits wireless signals (e.g., radio detection and ranging (RADAR) signals). The electronic device receives reflections of the wireless signals. Using these received reflections of the wireless signals, the electronic device determines whether a power amplitude of the reflections is greater than or equal to a threshold value. In response to a determination that the power amplitude is not greater than or equal to the threshold value, the electronic device operates in an outdoor mode or an indoor mode.

  • Patent number: 11749070
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to monitoring an automatic teller machine (ATM) network and determining anomalous fault behavior in the ATM network. A computing device may determine historical fault volumes in the ATM network and generate a time-series model of the fault volumes. The computing platform may predict future fault volumes based on the generated time-series model. Based on the predicted future fault volumes and actual future fault volumes, the computing platform may determine anomalous fault behavior. The time-series model may be based on exogenous factors associated with ATM network operations.
